Do you need a simple, inexpensive yet reliable transmitter for driving car or boat models? The RC Spectrum DX3 SMART DSMR RC Kit offers everything you need. Easy to use for beginners, quick preparation for driving, as well as advanced SMART and AVC technology. Memory for 1 model, adjustable reversals, endpoints, trim, neutral. For beginners, simply set the throttle limit to 50%, 75% or 100%. To check the transmitter battery voltage, there is an LED at the switch that indicates the voltage, the red LED is on - the voltage is OK, the red LED is flashing, the batteries need to be replaced.
Transmitter ergonomics
The Spektrum DX3 ™ RC transmitter is easy to hold and operate, which is sure to be appreciated by every user. Its low weight allows long-term driving with minimal fatigue. Controls are deployed logically for intuitive use.
Transmitter controls
On the right side of the transmitter housing there are rotary knobs for throttle adjustments and throttle trim and steering. On the top panel there are reversing switches, throttle limit switch and AA battery status LEDs in the middle. On the left are the LED indicators of the SMART telemetry system. On the front side is the main switch button.
DSMR modulation
The principle of DSMR modulation is similar to DSMX modulation, which is now used by Spektrum aeronautical transmitters. Signal transmission takes place in a spread spectrum spread by direct modulation of a pseudo-random sequence (DSSS - Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum). Only DSSS allows to correctly demodulate the signal even if it transmits another device on the channel (WiFi WiFi, BlueTooth, ...). DSMR uses 23 randomly selected channels from a total of 80 available channels to pseudo-randomly jump between them. Each transmitter has a different selection of 23 channels and a different pseudo-random sequence. This method ensures the best possible immunity to interference from both Spectrum and other devices operating in the same 2.4 GHz band. The advantage of DSMR is that it can be used to steer ships.
Active Control Vehicle (AVC)
The 4-channel DX4C DSMR AVC ™ RC Kit delivers an impressive list of programming features and amazing driving stability with AVC (Active Control Vehicle ™) technology. When AVC is in operation, the first two channels are for control and gas. The other two allow you to independently adjust the amount of control and gas using AVC technology. This setting greatly facilitates cornering and delivers the perfect amount of stability for different types of terrain. With sensors and exclusive software, the AVC allows instant steering and throttle repairs, so the car stays on track and you can just drive. The steering and throttle response can be adjusted to suit your skill level or driving style. Best of all, driving with AVC technology is quite natural. There is no delay in response or limitation of driving. You just have the feeling that you are driving with a finely tuned car that drives beautifully at any speed.
To use the AVC function, the transmitter must be paired with a compatible Spektrum DSMR receiver with AVC function!
Smart drive battery status indication
There is a SMART BATTERY LEVEL with four LEDs on the top panel of the DX3. This is a useful indicator of the battery's smart battery voltage status. If you use a telemetry receiver, SMART battery and SMART controller in your RC model, you can quickly determine the status of your SMART battery by looking at the panel. As the battery voltage decreases, the LEDs will gradually turn off and when the lower voltage limit is reached, the last LED will flash and an alarm will sound.
The SR315 receiver included in the package has no telemetry and therefore cannot be used with SMART components to indicate SMART battery status!
