Characteristics
The Arrma Outcast 8S 1:5 RC car model in the largest size and best quality, thanks to many improvements, is ready for a wild ride full of stunts like never before. The model is newly equipped with EXtreme Bash parts for unrivaled durability and a drive with even higher performance.
The drive system features a massive 5687 1100kv AC motor with a large diameter of 56mm that delivers 10% more torque than the previous generation. Complementing the motor is a brand new Spektrum S6510 servo with metal gears and a torque of 59 kg.cm at 8.4 V, which is 50% more than the previous model. The complete electronics are complemented by the Spektrum FIRMA 160A Smart controller in the V2 version with more punch and a better driving feeling and the Spektrum DX3 2.4 GHz DSMR RC kit, equipped with electronic AVC drive stabilization for excellent control of the model in all circumstances.
Installed heavy-duty EXB parts give the remote control model car virtually unstoppable power. The EXB parts package includes a 5mm thick EXB 7075 T6 CNC laser etched aluminum chassis plate, an EXB red anodized CNC aluminum front bracket, and an EXB front bumper with shock absorbing construction. The highlight is the bodywork with an aggressive EXB color scheme unlike any other model.
The model is equipped with oil shock absorbers with an aluminum body with a diameter of 20 mm and 6 mm piston rods for driving and hard impacts during jumps. Shock absorber towers are made of robust composite material to disperse impact energy. Large dBoots ® BACK FLIP ™ 2 tires are glued to the star wheels.
The strength of the chassis is increased by the central support of the body, aluminum central braces and raised sides of the chassis. All-metal differential and transmission gearing, plus durable steel drive shafts, combine to form a durable powertrain that can withstand extreme loads. The proven modular design facilitates the servicing of the model, thanks to the quick availability of important components. Due to its performance and technical processing, this is one of the biggest and best RC models.
EXB (EXtreme Bash) Components
The high-strength EXB components used on all exposed parts make the Arrma Outcast 1:5 EXB an unstoppable model.
Steel rod
The durable 8 mm diameter steel tie rod, in combination with the 7 mm steel couplings of the steering, allow it to withstand even extra strong impacts.
Oil filled shock absorbers
Red anodized aluminum damper bodies are filled with oil for realistic ride characteristics. The nut allows for easy spring preload adjustment.
DBOOTS® tires
Aggressive tread dBoots Back-Flip BB tires are mounted on stiff black nylon MT discs, giving the Outcast great traction for instant acceleration and safe braking. The brutal power of the drive can be transferred to the wheels by 24 mm carriers.
Quick access to the engine
The efficient design ensures easy access to the motor, which is installed on a sliding bracket.
Electronics module
The easily accessible, compact electronics module is bolted to the chassis and includes a waterproof* receiver box, servo and controller holder.
Center braces
The laser-etched 5mm chassis plate is made from durable 7075 T6 anodized aluminum. Composite raised sidewalls are bolted to it. The central support consists of a system of reinforcements made of red anodized aluminum reinforcements.
Durable metal construction
Durable steel half-axles and metal differential and transmission gears keep the 4x4 drive ready for serious action.
AC regulator SPEKTRUM™ FIRMA™ 160A V2 SMART
The control of the model is provided by a modern SPEKTRUM™ FIRMA™ 160A SMART controller with a 32-bit ARM Cortex M4 microcontroller, which is able to capture complete telemetry and transmit it to the receiver using an integrated wire in the new IC5 connector. Data is transmitted via the SRXL2 protocol. The controller reads information about the type, temperature and voltage of the battery cells directly from the Smart battery. You don't have to worry about the correct setting of the battery type and its possible undercharging.
The electronics are completely encased in a special potting material that prevents moisture* or dirt from entering the electronics. The regulator is switched on and adjusted with the buttons that are under the rubber cover.
The upgraded firmware ensures more vigorous performance and a certain feeling of driving.

AC motor SPEKTRUM™ FIRMA™ 5687_1100kv
Spektrum Firma 5687 1100Kv AC motor, with internal rotor and 4-pole construction for high output and excellent efficiency. The 8mm shaft is housed in ball bearings, 6.5mm connectors with gold-plated contacts for a reliable and efficient connection.
Power steering Spektrum 59 kg.cm
Control is provided by the S6510 servo with enormous power (moment: 59 kg.cm at a voltage of 8.4V). The servo is waterproof* and dustproof. Durable metal gears provide long life and mechanical resistance. The dimensions of the servo are 60 x 55 x 29 mm.
SR6200A receiver
Spektrum SR6200A 6-channel RC receiver with DSM2/DSMR modulation. It has excellent range and response, especially in places where there are multiple systems operating in the 2.4 GHz band. The receiver is equipped with the patented Spektrum AVC (Active Vehicle Control) system and full telemetry range. The receiver supports Spektrum Smart technology.
Spektrum DX3 2.4GHz DSMR RC transmitter
The new Spektrum DX3 RC transmitter has 3 channels and is compatible with the Spektrum AVC stabilization system and Spektrum Smart telemetry. Spektrum SMART technology
The model is equipped with components with Spektrum Smart technology , which offers more information about the model, easier operation and battery care. All SMART components, including batteries, are capable of communicating with each other and transmitting telemetry.
The included DX3 transmitter displays the state of charge of the Smart battery in the model.
As tuning, you can display complete telemetry ( speed, speed, temperature and more ):
- By adding a BT module to the DX3 set transmitter, which will allow the model to be connected to the clear Spektrum Dashboard graphic application on a phone or tablet.
- By using a universal Spektrum transmitter with a display, e.g. DX5C.

AVC (Active Vehicle Control) technology
AVC technology is an advanced Spektrum technology from Horizon Hobby, for RC model cars. This stabilization system brings a whole new way of driving RC cars. AVC technology uses sensors for steering correction and throttle at the same time. Thanks to suitable interventions in the steering and engine performance, the result is a smoother ride, stable behavior on the level and in corners and a safer track. It goes without saying that the sensitivity of the steering can be changed, including the possibility of turning it off, leaving everything in the hands of the rider.

To operate the model, you need 4x AA batteries for the transmitter, a drive battery and an adequate charger for the drive battery.
Recommended batteries
The model can be operated on two identical 3S or 4S LiPo batteries (11.1V, 14.8V).

Smart G2 batteries are even simpler and safer, thanks to the absence of a balance connector. In addition, G2 batteries have up to 3x faster automatic discharge into storage mode. Smart G2 batteries can only be charged on Spektrum Smart and Smart G2 chargers.

Accessories for normal operation
For the normal operation of RC models, you need tire glue, screw glue, a tool kit and silicone shock oil. We recommend an affordable tool kit for RC cars from our range.
Tire glue is used to glue the tires to the disc rim. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly stuck to the wheel rim all the way around! If the tire is not glued all the way around, it may tear. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, after hardening, the glue is flexible. We recommend Robitronic Tire Glue from our offer - see recommended accessories.
Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the shock absorbers of the model and change the oil in the differentials. During normal operation, there are only slight leaks of silicone oil on the piston rods of the shock absorber. In the event that the surface of the damper pistons or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage may be large. Repair kits or individual parts are supplied for these cases. For routine maintenance, screw glue is needed. Screws screwed into the metal material (e.g. screws in the motor, set screw in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this glue.
Protective covers for accumulators
Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators can, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity for a long driving time. Conversely, the LiPo battery is especially susceptible to mechanical damage.
