The RC model Hammer Rey U4 is manufactured under the official license of Casey Currie's U4 Racer. It contains authentic model details of a real Hammer Rey car, and the model is therefore a faithful replica, made in a 1:10 scale.

Officially licensed wheels and tires

The model is built on licensed KMC Machete racing discs and Nitto Trail Grappler M / T tires with an aggressive tread pattern that can handle any terrain. Hammer Rey therefore has the exact look of a real machine.

AC motor Spectrum ™ SMART 3150Kv

Hamer Rey is equipped with a Spektrum ™ 3150Kv AC motor, a Spektrum ™ Smart 130A controller and is controlled by a 6-channel AVC Spektrum ™ SR6200A DSMR telemetry receiver, which transmits Spektrum ™ Smart telemetry data, including instantaneous battery voltage. This powerful combination handles up to 3S LiPol batteries (sold separately) and allows you to rush the landscape at speeds of more than 60km / h!

Transmitter Spectrum ™ DX3 ™

The Spektrum ™ DX3 ™ transmitter, which is part of the set package, offers advanced functions such as AVC® technology with transmitter telemetry, indicating the capacity status of the Smart drive battery. Excellent range, response and interference immunity with the exclusive Spektrum DSMR technology. Setting of control and throttle endpoints, setting of four levels of LED brightness, which signal the level of the SMART battery.

Model details of the model

Losi Hammer Rey U4 is equipped with secondary silencers with artificial cooling tanks, fire extinguishers, Magnaflow exhaust system, upper LED light bar, lower LED light bar, LED headlights, fuel cell, artificial swing rod, brake calipers with discs, side mirrors and more.

Stronger steering system

To ensure the rigidity and accuracy of the steering together with higher safety, the steering servo holder and servosaver with a gear mechanism were modified.

Stronger rear axle

The rear suspension of the Hammer Rey RC model allows you to absorb massive unevenness and bumps while driving as realistically as in the full-fledged off-road racing car U4. The rear axle housing contains a third section that has new pinion bearings with a larger diameter as well as a firmer upper rear arm mount for greater durability.

Independent front suspension

The front independent suspension has been carefully designed, so the Hammer Rey can now safely traverse difficult terrain. With a fully independent suspension, it allows each side to respond accordingly and provides more control and more precise steering and control.

Waterproof electronics

The Hammer Rey RC model has waterproof electronics components such as servo, controller and receiver. It is recommended to perform a regular inspection of the engine, as the engine contains rotating parts that need to be cleaned and preserved regularly. But it will reward you with longevity and consistent performance.

Engine bed in precise positions

The motor is mounted on an aluminum motor bed with a series of marked holes that allow you to easily precisely adjust the interdental clearance of the gears for different pinion sizes.

LED light bars and headlights

The fun with Hammer Rey doesn't end even when the sun goes down. Brilliant LED lights on integrated light bars provide more than enough lighting for night driving. In addition, body-mounted LEDs are very battery-free, allowing you to drive late into the night!

Adjustable oil dampers

Long-stroke shock absorbers do a fantastic job of absorbing energy during large bumps and jumps. The threaded bodies of the shock absorbers are equipped with adjusting sleeves, so you can fine-tune the preload setting of the coil springs.

Servo with metal gear Spectrum ™ S614S

Hammer Rey has a high-torque servo S614S MG (steel) WP installed, with a torque of 15kg.cm and a 23T square.

Sealed metal gearbox with differentials

The single-speed transmission, as well as the front and center differentials, are weather-sealed and designed to handle the use of a high-performance AC motor in difficult terrain. M1 gears further increase durability. The three differential options allow you to adjust your Hammer Rey to handle any track conditions.

Battery storage on the back of the chassis

The innovative rear battery insertion function allows the battery to be replaced quickly, easily and without inconvenience when removing the body. Now all you have to do is slide the battery under the rear axle into the box and secure it against sliding out.

Longer wheelbase

The longest wheelbase so far has been used on the Rey platform to provide greater stability at high speeds, which, in conjunction with the work done by the AVC's electronic stabilization, will allow the throttle lever to be pushed all the way in. The receiver's integrated AVC® (Active Vehicle Control®) traction control system works behind the scenes and performs hundreds of throttle and steering adjustments per second, so more engine power is transferred to current speed and acceleration, instead of just raking the wheel. The patented AVC system gives a higher level of performance that you simply will not find in any car model from a manufacturer other than Horizon Hobby. As well as traction control in your full-fledged vehicle, you can activate or deactivate the system during operation and adjust the stability level according to driving conditions. Officially licensed

American racing driver Casey Currie is a successful and well-known figure in off-road racing. One of the reasons Casey Currie and his U4 race car work so well on the Rey platform was the independent front axle suspension and fixed rear axle. This combination was also used in the RC model and is great, performance and driving characteristics will not disappoint you.

Recommended LiPol batteries

The model can be operated on a 2 to 3 cell LiPo battery. The battery should be equipped with an EC5 or IC5 connector. We recommend a 2-cell LiPol battery (7.4 V) for normal riding.

• For normal riding, the 2-cell LiPol battery Spectrum 7.4 V 5000 mAh with Smart technology or Spectrum G2 7.4 V 5000 mAh with Smart G2 technology.
• For speed LiPol battery Spectrum Smart LiPol 11.1V 5000mAh 50C HC IC5.
• For maximum possible speed LiPo battery Spectrum LiPo 11.1 V 5000 mAh with Smart technology with Smart G2 technology.

Smart G2 batteries are even simpler and safer, thanks to the absence of a balance connector. In addition, G2 batteries have up to 3x faster automatic discharge into storage mode. Smart G2 batteries can only be charged on Spektrum Smart and Smart G2 chargers .

Spektrum Smart chargers can charge both Smart and Smart G2 batteries as well as conventional batteries. Previously sold Smart chargers, after the upgrade, also support Smart G2.

Accessories for normal operation

For normal operation of the Axial RC car, you need tire glue, bolt glue, a tool kit and silicone shock absorber oil. From our range we recommend an affordable set of tools for RC cars.

The tire glue adheres the tires to the rim of the disc. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued to the wheel rim around the entire circumference! If the tire is not stuck around the entire circumference, it may rupture. The tire adhesive has a special composition that is able to bond materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time the adhesive is flexible after hardening. We recommend Robitronic Tire Glue from our offer.

Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the model's shock absorbers and change the oil in the differentials. During normal operation, there is only a slight leakage of silicone oil along the shock absorber piston rods. If the damper piston rod surface or seal condition is in poor condition, the oil leak may be large. Repair kits or individual parts are supplied for these cases.

Screw glue is required for routine maintenance. Screws screwed into the metal material (eg screws in the motor, pin in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this adhesive.

Protective covers for batteries

Protective covers are designed to reduce the risk associated with transporting and charging batteries. LiPo batteries can, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity for long travel times. On the contrary, the LiPo battery is particularly susceptible to mechanical damage.

Shipping bag

Carry the RC model comfortably and safely in a Robitronic carrying bag. The bag is airtight and has an elastic edge that can be adjusted to the model. Thanks to the Velcro strap, the model is easy to carry. The synthetic material can be easily cleaned with water or soap suds if required.
