Characteristics

Do you have your off-road RC model and need a stylish and well-programmed transmitter for it ? The DX5 Rugged DSMR spectrum is undoubtedly the right transmitter. Its case is protected from shocks by soft bars around the perimeter, the transmitter has an internal antenna, a ring for mounting on a carabiner, a robust steering wheel and a large lever under the steering wheel for thumb control. Intuitive software is a matter of course.

Shaped polyurethane (TPU) skirting boards for the bottom and top of the transmitter housing protect the transmitter from unwanted shocks, and moisture resistance has been greatly increased. The transmitter can be hung on a strap, for this purpose there is a loop on the top of the transmitter and you can therefore hang the transmitter on your neck. There is even a small tool box on the side of the transmitter. The water resistance of the electronics' internal wires and the entire transmitter housing has been increased.

The Spektrum DX5 Rugged steering wheel RC transmitter has several auxiliary switches for lights, winches and other conveniences. An innovative touch control panel is used to move in the transmitter menu, which offers greater resistance to moisture and dirt. Simply slide your finger on the control panel and tap to select from the menu. You can read the values on the easy-to-read LCD display. Integrated telemetry (the model must be equipped with a receiver that allows telemetry operation and allows important data to be displayed in real time, such as engine speed, vehicle speed, battery voltage and temperature directly on the transmitter.

Spektrum ™ Smart technology is a comprehensive information and service system that communicates between components called Spektrum Smart. It was created for the purpose of simpler user comfort and at the same time the maximum flow of information, the purpose of which is to offer immediate data on the status of important components of the electronics of your model. For this purpose, Smart receivers, controllers, batteries as well as chargers and transmitters were manufactured, which equipped with Spektrum AirWare ™ communicate via telemetry with the components of the Smart system. Without additional telemetry sensors, you can have an overview of battery status, temperature, current and speed, thanks to the IC3 connector with data cable. Your model's electronics will communicate with you, so you can ensure the highest possible efficiency and performance of your model. I communicate information about the status of components, it increases your confidence in their condition and makes the whole system clearer.

DSMR modulation

The principle of DSMR modulation is similar to the DSMX modulation now used by Spektrum air transmitters. The signal transmission takes place in a spread spectrum, spread by direct modulation of the pseudo-random sequence (DSSS - Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum). Only DSSS allows to correctly demodulate the signal even if another device transmits on the given channel (WiFi wireless networks, BlueTooth, ...). The DSMR uses 23 randomly selected channels out of a total of 80 available channels, which it pseudo-randomly jumps between. Each transmitter has a different selection of 23 channels and a different pseudo-random sequence. This method provides the best possible immunity to interference from both foreign Spectrum transmitters and other devices operating in the same 2.4 GHz band. The advantage of DSMR modulation is that it can be used for ship control.

The Spektrum DX5 Rugged steering wheel RC transmitter has an impressive list of available mixes for all kinds of applications, not just racing. In addition to user-defined mixers, the transmitter comes with preset mixers that include dual throttle, dual brakes, MOA 4-wheel steering and dual steering. Mixes can be switched, activated and edited. The transmitter menu is clear and intuitive, so if you have basic experience with transmitters, you will only need the manual minimally. < / p>

SMART ready

In combination with Spektrum Smart receivers and Spektrum controllers, Smart receives the DX5 Rugged transmitter telemetry data via the Smart Throttle port on the receiver. Smart controllers can send data such as speed, speed, controller temperature, voltage and current.

Safety strut

To increase the rigidity of the transmitter housing, a reinforcement was inserted in the front part of the transmitter between the base and the upper body. This prevents the handle from breaking or cracking and also allows users to use it creatively, for example, to attach additional elements such as flashlights or cameras.

Control panel

Until now, a scroll button has been used as a control interface. It does not have much protection against moisture, so a panel with buttons that can be protected against the ingress of moisture was chosen for the DX5 Rugged transmitter. The sensitivity of the panel buttons can be optionally set.

Easy to program

Programming DX5 Rugged is easy. The intuitive interface makes it easy to navigate the menu and quickly change settings. You will not need a manual for most programming functions, the transmitter menu is compiled logically and clearly.

Integrated telemetry

The built-in telemetry function can offer you real-time information on important values, such as your car's battery voltage, signal quality, engine temperature and more. Using the beep warning system, you can program the DX5 Rugged to see if the set values reach or exceed the limits you define. Telemetry works with a telemetry receiver such as the SR6000T (sold separately).
