Characteristics

A large and powerful Monster Truck remote control car model that will take your breath away. The 1: 5 scale model, despite its size (length 71 cm), is incredibly agile and with 8S batteries (2x 4S LiPo) and an optional pinion, it is able to reach a maximum speed of 88 km / h. This giant model is completely assembled and ready for extreme driving. The excellent durability of the model is provided by the aluminum chassis, tough suspension, aluminum oil shock absorbers, metal half-axles and many other parts that are designed for endless entertainment. The aluminum parts on the model are not only durable and light, but also look great thanks to the color anodizing.

The model is equipped with the latest drive and Spektrum Smart electronics. The Spektrum ™ Firma ™ 1250Kv AC motor and the Spektrum ™ Firma ™ 160A Smart ESC electronic speed controller provide the Outcast with huge performance potential. Even at jumps and at high speeds, you don't have to worry about the controllability of the model. The AVC stabilization system corrects the direction of travel of the car model and makes immediate quick appropriate corrections, thanks to which the model does not deviate from the desired direction. The intensity of the AVC stabilization can be changed on the transmitter. The Spektrum DX3 ™ 2.4GHz transmitter with SRS6100AT receiver takes care of the model control.

Spectrum Smart

The model is equipped with Spektrum Smart electronics. It provides comprehensive battery care solutions and can transmit telemetry. SMART electronics provide real-time data such as motor speed, controller temperature, receiver voltage, Smart battery voltage and more. The set transmitter uses LED telemetry to display the model's battery charge. Complete telemetry can be displayed using the optional Spektrum transmitter with display.

Aluminum chassis

The chassis of the Outcast 8S BLX model consists of a 4 mm profiled plate made of very durable 6061-T6 aluminum. The unique design of the chassis is underlined by laser-etched graphics with the Arrma logo.

Suspensions and oil dampers

The robust independent front and rear axle suspension provides excellent handling and unsurpassed off-road performance. The heart of the suspension are massive oil dampers with a diameter of 24 mm and a shaft of 5 mm. The shock absorber bodies are made of aluminum and are red anodised for maximum effect. The spring preload can be conveniently adjusted using a nut.

Front bumper

The construction of the bumper hides a deformation zone, which absorbs shocks during impacts and somersaults.

Quality ball joints

The front axle contains ball pins with a diameter of 18 mm, which ensure efficient operation and smooth steering even in such a large model. The tie rod ball joints with a new upper cap prevent the tie rod from popping out of the pin in the event of a strong impact.

Metal half-axles

CVD steel half-axles safely transfer the power of the 2x 4S LiPo battery-powered motor.

The deflection of the rear wheels can be adjusted using the upper link of the rear axle.

Chassis reinforcements

Transverse and center reinforcements made of anodized aluminum provide protection against bending of the chassis even in the event of extremely strong impacts. For easy service, the reinforcements are secured with clips and can be easily removed.

Metal engine bed

The engine is located in the central part of the chassis on the left side. In the middle of the chassis is a central gearbox with a driven gear, so the engine pinion needs to be easily accessible to adjust the inter-tooth clearance. The excellent design of the engine bed allows easy adjustment of the transmission or disassembly of the engine for service. The red anodized, aluminum motor holder can be easily adjusted and fixed. The sliding bracket thus allows the position and motor to be adjusted by simply loosening the screws, which are easily accessible.

Complete metal gears

The model has a solid drive mechanism design, which is completely made of steel, all rotating parts are mounted in ball bearings. Metal half-axles, massive gearbox and differential gears.

Kola dBoots BACKFLIP

Massive tires with an aggressive tread pattern provide excellent traction of the model on all surfaces and safely transmit the power of the engine powered by 8S batteries. The tires are glued to the discs with a star motif. The wheel is secured by a 24 mm carrier.

Easy service

The Outcast 8S is designed to be easily accessible to all parts. Individual components such as the motor bed and the block with controller, servo and receiver can be easily removed. Differentials are also easily accessible, which will greatly facilitate their control.

Wheelie Bar

Wheelie Bar rear wheels are essential on a model with such performance as the new Outcast. The rear wheel bar prevents the model from tipping over when full throttle is added, and you can fully enjoy riding on the rear wheels at full throttle.

Detailed durable body

The beautiful apple-red body is detailed and thanks to the reinforcements, it can withstand even wild rides. The upper plastic plates prevent scratches, as do the staple pads, which are on a practical rubber. Staples will not be lost now! The frame of the body forms a solid reinforcement, which also rests on the central tower of the chassis and thus provides increased strength.

AC regulator SPEKTRUM ™ FIRMA ™ 160A SMART

The model is controlled by a modern SPEKTRUM-COMPANY-160A SMART controller with a 32-bit ARM Cortex M4 microcontroller, which is able to read complete telemetry and transmit it to the receiver using an integrated wire in the new IC5 connector. Data is transmitted via the SRXL2 protocol. The controller reads information about the type, temperature and voltage of the battery cells directly from the Smart battery. You do not have to worry about the correct setting of the battery type and its possible undercharging.

The electronics are completely encapsulated in a special potting compound that prevents moisture * or dirt from entering the electronics. The controller is switched on and set with the buttons under the rubber cover.

SMART Spectrum technology

The model is equipped with components with Spektrum Smart technology, which offers more information about the model, easier operation and battery care. All SMART components, including batteries, are able to communicate and transmit telemetry.

The included DX3 transmitter shows the charge status of the Smart battery in the model.

As tuning you can display complete telemetry ( speed, speed, temperature and more ):

  • By adding a BT module to the DX3 set transmitter, which will enable the connection of the model with a clear graphic application Spektrum Dashboard in the phone or tablet.

Operate the model on two identical 4S LiPo batteries (14.8V).

  • For normal riding LiPo batteries Spectrum 14.8 V 5000 mAh with Smart technology
  • For normal driving with longer operating time LiPo batteries Black Magic14.8 V 6500 mAh.
  • LiPo batteries with a maximum current spectrum of 14.8 V 5000 mAh with Smart technology. RC car can only be operated on flat surfaces, such as asphalt, concrete.

If you decide to use modern Smart LiPo batteries in the RC model of the Arrma car, then we recommend this charger:

Accessories for normal operation

For normal RC car operation, you need tire glue, bolt glue, a tool kit and silicone shock absorber oil. From our range we recommend an affordable set of tools for RC cars / p>

The tire glue adheres the tires to the rim of the disc. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued to the wheel rim around the entire circumference! If the tire is not stuck around the entire circumference, it may rupture. The tire adhesive has a special composition that is able to bond materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time the adhesive is flexible after hardening. We recommend Robitronic Tire Glue from our offer - see recommended accessories.

Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the model's shock absorbers and change the oil in the differentials. During normal operation, there is only a slight leakage of silicone oil along the shock absorber piston rods. If the damper piston rod surface or seal condition is in poor condition, the oil leak may be large. Repair kits or individual parts are supplied for these cases. From our range of silicone oils, we recommend TLR (Team Losi Racing) silicone oils, see recommended accessories.

Screw glue is required for routine maintenance. Screws screwed into the metal material (eg screws in the motor, set screw in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this adhesive.

Protective covers for batteries

Protective covers are designed to reduce the risk associated with transporting and charging batteries. LiPo batteries can, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity for long travel times. On the contrary, the LiPo battery is particularly susceptible to mechanical damage.
