Characteristics
The unique Losi 8ight-X Super Lasernut Buggy 1:6 large scale RC car model combines the independent suspension of the TLR 8IGHT racing platform and an amazing mock-up licensed appearance. Thanks to the powerful 6S LiPo AC drive and Spektrum Smart electronics, the model reaches a speed of up to 80 km/h.
The Losi Super Lasernut RC model reproduces in full detail and in 1:6 scale one of the most successful cars of Ultra4 racing - Cody Waggoner's Lasernut U4. This is Losi's most affordable large buggy. Ultra4 races are a unique mix of off-road motorsport, which combines demanding driving on rocky paths requiring precision and high torque of the car, together with driving at full throttle on the bottom of a dry lake. As the Losi Super Lasernut takes over not only the appearance, but also the functional properties, you get an incredibly variable model.
For rough terrain, the model is equipped with the best independent suspension based on the ROAR Nationals winning platform, from the thoroughbred TLR 8IGHT race buggy. The model also includes a strong aluminum chassis, aluminum oil shock absorbers, adjustable steel couplings, transverse stabilizers, top geometry and three differentials for precise power distribution. Also included is a Spektrum RC kit and electronics that offer the unrivaled benefits of Smart technology, performance, ease of use and reliability. As the Super Lasernut shares the same platform as the TLR 8IGHT racing buggies and truggys, the model can be upgraded with TLR's top tuning parts.
At first glance, you will be captivated by the detailed bodywork, which preserves all the details in the 1:6 scale model without compromise. From a driver and navigator figure with helmets, fire extinguishers, safety nets to a functional spare wheel. Metal parts
Losi designers approached the Super Lasernut with the same attention and care that manufacturers give to their off-road vehicles. Robust metal parts are used wherever maximum durability is needed for high-speed driving in rough terrain and in constantly changing conditions.
All-metal drivetrain
From axles, differentials to pinions, every part of the drivetrain is made from heat-treated steel to withstand rough handling in the field. The durability of the model has been thoroughly tested in demanding long races.
Aluminum shock towers
Lightweight and strong aluminum shock towers provide support for the shocks to absorb bumps and maintain tire traction. You can use the pre-drilled holes to change the mounting of the shock absorbers and find the ideal position for the given surface and your driving style.
Oil dampers
Shocks with a durable aluminum body and a dust cap on the piston rod are filled with oil and include a nut for easy adjustment of spring preload. Damper properties can be further tuned using different pistons, springs and oils of different viscosity (all available separately).
Aluminum chassis
The 4mm thick aluminum chassis gives the Super Lasernut the extra strength necessary to handle fast rides and hard rebounds.
Aluminum blocks
The weight is also a stressed part, through which the load is transferred to the shoulders and shock absorbers. That is why they are also made of durable and at the same time light aluminum.
Steel connectors
Adjustable steel couplings with thread for end caps with ball studs, allow precise adjustment of wheel camber and toe-in, for driving characteristics exactly matching your driving style and surface.
True racing geometry
If you want to learn more about suspension dynamics, the Losi Super Lasernut gives you the perfect opportunity. You will be able to precisely tune various elements of geometry, ground clearance, differential alignment, etc.
3 oil differentials
Front, center and rear differentials allow each tire to use the engine's torque to provide maximum traction. You can tune the differentials with TLR silicone oils (available separately) to adapt the Super Lasernut to different conditions.
Transverse stabilizers
Front and rear torsion bars are standard on the Super Lasernut. They keep the chassis stable and level with the surface as you go through corners.
Setting the couplers
The couplings on the axles are quick and easy to adjust, allowing you to fine-tune the way the model enters and exits corners, oversteer or understeer.
Optional TLR parts
As the Super Lasernut shares the same platform as the TLR (Team Losi Racing) 8IGHT racing buggies and truggies, you can use many optional TLR parts to upgrade for next-level racing performance.

Hinged body

Not only are the BFGoodrich KR3 tires licensed and realistic, they also provide the Super Lasernut with relentless traction on challenging terrain.
LED lighting
Breathtaking lighting for day and night driving and a better overview of the model's position is provided by LED lighting, which consists of a white front roof ramp, amber yellow reflectors on the pillars and a multi-colored rear bar.
Window nets
The Losi brand is known for raising the bar when it comes to mockup craftsmanship and they've done it again with these authentic window nets. They are modeled after the ones used on the actual Lasernut U4.
Body cage
Even after removing the body panels, the model still retains its racing elements in the form of a full cage.
Figures of riders

Servo steering Spektrum 38kg-cm @6V
Control is provided by the S905 servo with huge power (moment: 38 kg.cm at 6V voltage, speed: 0.2s/60° at 6V), it is waterproof* and dustproof. Durable metal gears provide long life and mechanical resistance. The dimensions of the servo are 60 x 55 x 29 mm.

AC regulator SPEKTRUM™ FIRMA™ 150A V2 SMART 3S-6S
The control of the model is provided by a modern SPEKTRUM™ FIRMA™ 150A V2 SMART controller with a 32-bit ARM Cortex M4 microcontroller, which is able to capture complete telemetry and transmit it to the receiver using an integrated wire in the new IC5 connector. Data is transmitted via the SRXL2 protocol. The controller reads information about the type, temperature and voltage of the battery cells directly from the Smart battery. Current, temperature, total battery voltage, individual battery cell voltage, battery temperature, remaining capacity and engine speed are available in real time.
The electronics are completely encased in a special potting material that prevents moisture* or dirt from entering the electronics. The regulator is switched on and adjusted with the buttons that are under the rubber cover.
The upgraded V2 firmware ensures more vigorous performance and a confident driving feeling.

Spektrum SMART technology
The model is equipped with components with Spektrum Smart technology , which offers more information about the model, easier operation and battery care. All SMART components, including batteries, are capable of communicating with each other and transmitting telemetry.
The included DX3 transmitter displays the state of charge of the Smart battery in the model.
As tuning, you can view complete telemetry ( speed, speed, temperature and others ):

Recommended batteries
Run the model on two identical 3S LiPo batteries (11.1 V).

- Spektrum 11.1 V 5000 mAh 100C LiPo batteries with Smart technology, or Spektrum G2 11.1 V 5000 mAh 100C with Smart G2 technology.

Smart G2 batteries are even simpler and safer, thanks to the absence of a balance connector. In addition, G2 batteries have up to 3x faster automatic discharge into storage mode. Smart G2 batteries can only be charged on Spektrum Smart and Smart G2 chargers.

Accessories for normal operation
For normal operation of Losi RC cars, you need screw glue, good quality tire glue, silicone oil for shock absorbers and a set of screwdrivers. From our assortment, we recommend an affordable set of tools for cars or a high-quality Allen screwdriver set 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm. We recommend viewing Tool sets
The thread or head of the screw is dripped with screw glue, which fixes it and the vibrations caused by driving prevent the screw joint from loosening. The screw adhesive has a special composition that allows the screw connection to be easily loosened with an adequate torque without damaging the screw head. Never use ordinary instant glue, it might be impossible to loosen a screw stuck like this!
Tire glue is used to glue the tires to the disc rim. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly stuck to the wheel rim all the way around! If the tire is not glued all the way around, it may tear. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, after hardening, the glue is flexible. Never use ordinary instant glue - it is not flexible after hardening and cracks would gradually form in the tire around the rims!
Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the dampers of the model. During normal operation, there are only slight leaks of silicone oil on the piston rods of the shock absorber. In the event that the surface of the damper pistons or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage may be large. So-called repair kits are supplied for these cases. In the range of tuning parts, piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating are delivered to all shock absorbers. Piston rods with a TiN surface are easily recognized by their golden-green color.
