The multifunctional LCD programming box PRO for controllers of selected Hobbywing series for cars, airplanes and boats is used for easy and fast programming of controllers - at home "on the table" as well as at the airport. In addition, it can serve as a USB interface for connecting the controller to a PC for its programming using of the USB Link program and firmware update or as a Bluetooth OTA module allowing setting, firmware update and loading of operating data recorded in the controller using a mobile application (iOS and Android). .
1. Use for programming the controller
The controller is connected using a servo cable or a special programming cable, the sockets are located on the left side of the box. The power supply of the box is provided from the BEC power stabilizer of the Hobbywing regulator or (in the case of the OPTO regulator) from a normal 4-5-cell. NiCd/NiMH or 2-3S LiPo/LiFe receiver battery connected to the power socket of the box. Programming is done with the motor and drive battery connected (also in the case of OPTO controllers).
The programming wheel/button and two buttons on the front panel of the box are used for programming. With their help, you select and set the desired functions in the menu on the oLCD display of the programmer. The set parameters can also be saved in the programmer's memory and uploaded to another controller of the same type at any time later.
The method of connecting the controller to the Multifunctional LCD programming box PRO depends on the type of controller - it differs depending on whether it is a controller with a BEC power stabilizer or an OPTO controller, whether the controller has a special programming cable or socket, etc. When connecting, proceed exactly according to the instructions supplied with the box and your controller.
2. Use as a USB INTERFACE to connect the controller to a PC
After connecting the controller, the LCD programming box PRO is connected to the computer (only PC with Windows operating system) using a USB cable (type C). After running the USB Link program, you can easily set up the controller on a PC or update its firmware using a PC.
3. Use as Bluetooth OTA module to connect to mobile application
After connecting the controller, the LCD programming box PRO connects via Bluetooth to the HW LINK V2 mobile application (available for iOS and Android), in which you can set the controller's parameters, update its firmware or retrieve operating data stored in the controller's memory.
4. Use as a voltmeter to check the voltage of lipo batteries
Plug the kit's service connector into the "BATTERY CHECK" socket on the side of the box; the voltage of the entire set and individual cells will then appear on the display. (When measuring voltage, the LCD programming box is powered from the service connector of the measured set, it does not need an additional source.)
