The E-flite® UMX™ P-51D Voodoo is an ultra-micro version of the pylon special, with unmatched stability, exclusive AS3X® technology, optional SAFE® Select flight envelope protection and battery telemetry. Fully assembled and ready to fly right out of the box.
The remote controlled model is a replica of the improved version of the original UMX P-51D BL. The unique coloring is easily recognizable and exceptional on RC models. With a 2-3S LiPo power supply and a powerful AC motor, the model is fast, nimble and excellently manoeuvrable. Thanks to its small size, the UMX Voodoo can be flown in smaller spaces, including yards, parks, or sports grounds! The model has a solid landing gear with a steerable rear wheel for taxiing, take-off and landing on smooth surfaces. The landing gear can be dismantled for hand-starting and belly-to-grass landings.
The P-51D Mustang is one of the most iconic fighter jets of all time! Its unique design provided one of the highest performances of any World War II fighter aircraft. Because of this, many P-51s are still flown at air shows and air races around the world today.
The P-51D-25-NA (original serial number 44-73415) was built in 1944 by North American Aviation in Inglewood, California for the United States Army. After going into private ownership in 1958, it first raced at the Reno Air Races as #55 "Pegasus". It was subsequently renamed "Voodoo" and flown in the 1998 Reno Air Races. It won the Unlimited Class in 2013, 2014 and 2016 and is now part of the collection of the Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino, California.
The E-flite UMX P-51D RC model aircraft is equipped with exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. The AS3X function works in the background to eliminate the effects of wind and turbulence. Optionally, the SAFE Select function can be activated, which limits the tilt of the model in flight, and when the cross controls are returned to neutral, the model is automatically brought into horizontal flight. The SAFE Select function can be assigned to a switch and activated only when desired. If you don't want to use SAFE Select at all, simply deactivate it according to the instructions and only the AS3X 3-axis stabilization will be active.
The RC model of the plane is in the BNF version, it has an installed power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4 GHz receiver. All you have to do is top up the battery and pair the model with your Spektrum universal transmitter.
The UMX P-51D Voodoo is equipped with a control unit that combines a controller and a receiver in one. The unit provides telemetry (real-time drive battery voltage) that you can view, or set an alarm, on Spektrum AirWare transmitters (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6,NX 8 and NX10, iX12, iX20 and others).
The UMX P-51D Voodoo is one of the fastest UMX models and with a 3S LiPo 300 mAh battery it has almost unlimited vertical performance. You can use a 2S LiPo battery for normal flying. An outrunner BL200 2150 rpm AC motor is installed.
The model comes assembled and ready to fly in minutes! It is equipped with top-of-the-line Spektrum 2.4 GHz technology. At least a 5-channel Spektrum DSMX/DSM2 transmitter is sufficient for control.
You can use the solid landing gear with steerable rear wheel to taxi, take off and land on smooth surfaces. Or you can remove the landing gear for a hand-off and grass landing. The model without chassis will be even faster and more agile.
EPS construction provides a lightweight yet durable airframe. Spare parts are available in case of an accident, minor collisions can be repaired with foam glue.

For the normal operation of flying RC models, you need suitable adhesives, a set of tools and a storage case for LiPol batteries. From our assortment, we recommend a quality set of 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) will surely come in handy for assembly and Modelcraft cutting knife with A6 pad for cutting.
For quick repair of model airplanes, we recommend the fast-curing 4-minute Epoxy glue. From our offer, we recommend Speed Epoxy 4 min. 71g
Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity. The LiPo battery is particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore needs to be thoroughly protected.
