The small RC model E-flite OV-10 Bronco with a wingspan of 0.65m is an affordable replica of the legendary twin-engine military aircraft. It is suitable for more experienced pilots who will appreciate the scale appearance, ease of use and good handling for such a small model supported by the SAFE and AS3X+ stabilization systems. The model is fully assembled and equipped with electronics with Spektrum Smart telemetry support from the factory. A 3S 600–850 mAh LiPo battery can be used for power. Two AC motors with counter-rotating propellers provide enough power for normal flying and basic aerobatic elements such as turns, somersaults, twists or inverted flight. The fixed landing gear with a steerable nose wheel makes taxiing, takeoff and landing on a smooth surface easier. Or you can dismantle the landing gear for higher speed and hand-held launch with automatic Hand Launch Assist mode assistance. For good visibility, LED position lighting is installed.
Smart Spektrum electronics in the model offer a number of advantages that you will not find elsewhere. With a compatible transmitter (sold separately), you have a range of telemetric data available - battery voltage, current consumption, temperature and other data in real time. The model includes a control unit with an electronic stabilization system AS3X+ and SAFE. AS3X+ smoothes the effects of wind and turbulence for a calmer flight, and thanks to the SAFE system, the model is also suitable for moderately experienced flyers. The model's construction is made of durable EPS reinforced with composite. There are plastic covers on exposed areas to provide protection when landing on your belly in the grass. In addition to the detailed cockpit with a clear cover and a pilot figure, a model cannon, missiles, an additional tank and a pipette tube can be attached to the model (parts are included in the package).
Information about the model - The OV-10 Bronco is one of the most famous twin-engine turboprop military aircraft of its time. It was developed in the 1960s as a multi-purpose machine for reconnaissance, combat control and direct support of ground troops. It saw its greatest use during the Vietnam War, where it excelled in counterinsurgency operations, airstrike guidance, and reconnaissance missions. Later, it also proved its worth during Operation Desert Storm. Thanks to its ability to take off from short and unprepared surfaces, high durability, and excellent visibility from the cockpit, the Bronco became an extremely versatile aircraft. It served in various versions all over the world, and some machines are still used for special military and civilian tasks.
Skill Level 3 aircraft, such as this one, are suitable for RC pilots who already have experience and skills with models of a similar class. And while this is the easiest-to-fly OV-10 Bronco model yet, it is not at all suitable for new pilots. You should have the experience and skills needed to successfully fly models such as the E-flite UMX Timbers, UMX Twin Otter, Micro DRACO, or Micro Scrappy.
Do you already own a Spektrum™ RC transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft are ready to fly. The motor, servos, and control unit with an integrated Spektrum 2.4 GHz receiver are installed. So all you have to do is pair the receiver in the model with your compatible transmitter and fly (transmitter, battery, and charger sold separately).
This is the first OV-10 Bronco model equipped with Spektrum's exclusive AS3X and SAFE Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence, providing a sense of stability that makes it feel like you're flying a much larger aircraft. The optional SAFE Select system prevents over-banking in turns and also limits climb and descent. Simply release the controller's control sticks to neutral to return the model to level flight. SAFE Select is also equipped with an automatic Hand Launch Assist mode, which senses the force of the hand launch and adds elevator, making the launch easier.
The model is equipped with a control unit that includes a 2-in-1 controller with a Spektrum receiver. These advanced electronics provide real-time propulsion battery voltage and other telemetry with compatible Spektrum AirWare-equipped transmitters (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6 to NX20, iX12 to iX20, and more).
The factory-installed dual-propulsion system includes two outrunner brushless motors (3S) with counter-rotating propellers. This powertrain configuration provides great speed, vertical performance, and flight time when using the recommended 3S LiPo 30C+ LiPo batteries with a capacity of 600–850 mAh and an IC2 connector.
You can use the included fixed landing gear with a steerable nose wheel for taxiing, takeoff, and landing on smooth surfaces. Or you can remove the landing gear for faster speed and hand-launching, using the automatic Hand Launch Assist mode, and finally landing on grass.
The model's construction made of EPS foam material offers more faithful model details than conventional small UMX class models. The lower parts of the engine nacelles are reinforced with durable plastic, while the nose, tail spars and other stressed parts are reinforced with composite reinforcements. This makes the model strong and rigid, while maintaining a low weight.

For normal operation of flying RC models, you need suitable adhesives, a tool kit and a case for storing LiPol batteries. From our range, we recommend a quality set of 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm Allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). For assembly, Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) will certainly come in handy, and for cutting, Modelcraft cutting knife with A6 washer.

Protective packaging is designed to reduce the risk associated with the transportation and charging of batteries. LiPo batteries can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity while maintaining small dimensions and low weight. LiPo batteries are particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore need to be thoroughly protected.
