The E-flite® F-14 Tomcat Twin 40mm EDF is compactly sized to fit in the trunk of a regular car. Functional variable geometry wings provide an authentic experience, while AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies make piloting and flying easier!
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was developed for the US Navy and first deployed in 1974 aboard the USS Enterprise, replacing the older McDonnell machine Douglas F-4 Phantom II. This model from E-flite is based on the F-14D Super Tomcat variant and the camouflage pays homage to the aircraft of Strike Fighter Squadron 2 (VFA-2), also known as the famous "Bounty Hunters". During its 2002-2003 deployment for the last mission with the Tomcats, VF-2 participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom flying reconnaissance, air support, CAP, and strike missions.
The F-14 Tomcat Twin 40mm EDF model has functional wings with variable sweep geometry to provide an authentic and unique flying experience. Compatible with the popular 4S 2200mAh batteries, it also features exclusive AS3X® technologies and optional SAFE® Select technology that make flying easier than any Tomcat EDF to date!

Exclusive technology
The electronics of the receiver are equipped with electronic stabilization AS3X, which offers the highest level of accuracy and stabilization in flight. It is a completely new flight experience thanks to the latest technology that can guide the model straight as if on a string. If you want to ensure a greater degree of safety, you can activate the optional SAFE Select technology, which will limit the maximum limits of bending and tipping. Electronic stability is also active, when the control levers of the transmitter are returned to neutral, the model is leveled into horizontal flight.
Telemetry option
The F-14 Tomcat Twin 40mm EDF is equipped with a control unit including a receiver and controllers that provide a range of real-time power system-related telemetry data, including engine speed, current, battery voltage and more, to compatible Spektrum™ AirWare™ equipped transmitters. (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, iX12™, iX20™ and others).
High Performance EDF (Blowers)
The model is equipped with a pair of high-performance 40mm electric blowers, the rotors of which are driven by AC motors. This dual power system setup is designed for superior performance with popular 4S 2200mAh 30+C LiPol batteries.
Model control
The F-14 is controlled by a pair of floating elevators, so only two linear servos are sufficient for control. When adjusting the transmitter, it is necessary to accept the settings that are given in the manual. Precise control of the tail surfaces, together with a functional 3-position variable wing adjustment, provides an authentic and unique flying experience with this original model.
Chassis configuration
You can use the included solid landing gear with steerable nose wheel to taxi, take off and land on smooth surfaces. But you can dismantle it for greater speed and vertical power, take off from your hand and land on grass. Hand take-off is possible only with the wing set for maximum span.
Durable construction
The construction is made of EPO material, which allows for the replication of complex details and shapes, while being light and very durable. The result is an excellent model appearance, the model is easy to maintain and provides the best possible flight experience.
Unique coloring
The finished finish with applied decals matches the famous US Navy VF-2 "Bounty Hunters" squadron. The model features a full range of surface details and a cockpit with pilot figures.

The F-14 Tomcat Twin 40mm EDF is fully assembled and ready to fly right out of the box! Nothing needs to be glued or screwed. Equipped with top-of-the-line Spektrum™ 2.4GHz technology, just pair your 6+ channel computer transmitter equipped with DSMX®/DSM2® modulation.
Assembly of the chassis
The legs of the chassis are inserted in the grooves in the fuselage, therefore their assembly or disassembly is the work of an instant. The bow leg is controlled by a separate servo, therefore it is completely independent of the control of other functions.
Removable cover
Access to the battery is easy thanks to the large cover, which allows you to access the entire front section under the large cabin.

Accessories for normal operation
For the normal operation of flying RC models, you need suitable adhesives, a set of tools and a storage case for LiPol batteries. From our assortment, we recommend a quality set of 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) will certainly come in handy for assembly, and for cutting a Modelcraft cutting knife with an A6 pad.
For quick repair of model airplanes, we recommend the fast-curing 4-minute Epoxy glue. From our offer, we recommend Speed Epoxy 4 min. 71g
Protective covers for accumulators
Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity. The LiPo battery is particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore needs to be thoroughly protected.
