Characteristics
The RC model of the Viper Jet EDF airplane with a 64mm blower, with a wingspan of 1.07m is new smaller and lighter, while maintaining high performance on 4S LiPol. EPO construction, hand-start option. It is equipped with exclusive AS3X+ and SAFE Select technologies. The E-flite Viper 64mm EDF is a smaller version of the extremely popular 70mm and 90mm EDF models, offering a jet flying experience unlike any other model in its class.
The Viper Jet is a popular sports acrobatic American jet plane, which is often used as a model for modeling due to its elegant shapes. E-flite chose it as a template for the Viper Jet EDF model, with a 64mm blower drive. The Viper excels in speed, vertical performance and aerobatic capabilities, while making hand-off and landing easier than other models in its class. No glue or special tools are required for assembly, so you can have it ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge the battery! The lightweight, composite-reinforced EPO airframe is factory finished in the now iconic Aircraft Studio Design livery. Seven installed digital servos with ball joints ensure precise control. The model features functional LED navigation and landing lights, along with installed flaps for shorter takeoffs and landings and improved slow flight performance. The optional undercarriage features a steerable nose wheel and shock-absorbing drag wheel struts, or you can remove it – without the use of any tools – for more speed and vertical performance! Molded finger grips make it easy to launch from the hand, and the BNF Basic version also offers an automatic Hand Launch Assist mode, which makes it the model with the easiest hand launch in its class.

SMART technology
The Viper Jet EDF 64mm RC model airplane is equipped with a Spektrum Avian controller, which can provide a variety of real-time telemetry data, such as motor speed, current, battery voltage. With compatible Spektrum RC transmitters equipped with Spektrum AirWare™ (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, iX12, iX14 , iX20 and others), you can see this data on the transmitter display. The regulator also supports motor reversal.
Powerful blower
The 11-blade rotor of the 64mm blower in combination with the high-speed AC motor, the 70A regulator and the optional 4S 2200mAh 50+C to 3200mAh 30+C LiPol battery ensure high drive dynamics, therefore the model has an incredible range of speeds with practically instant throttle response. But what immediately catches everyone's attention is the amazing sound made by the blower - almost like a real turbine.
Suspension chassis
You can install the included solid landing gear with shock absorbers, drag link legs and steerable nose wheel without any tools for taxiing, taking off and landing on low grass. Or you can remove the landing gear for more speed and vertical performance, plus easy hand-offs and landings, taking advantage of the sculpted finger grips and automatic Hand Launch Assist mode.
Functional flaps
The Viper Jet EDF model has flaps installed that will effectively reduce the flight speed during takeoff and landing. You can also make spectacular low passes at minimal speeds. This makes the Viper 64mm the perfect next jet model for those transitioning from simpler EDF models.
Unrivaled capabilities
The Viper Jet EDF 64mm has almost unlimited vertical performance and acrobatic abilities that stand out thanks to a very elegant design. The speed range of the model is huge, from minimum on flaps to maximum at full throttle. In order to take advantage of these advantages, it is necessary to use high-quality LiPol batteries that can withstand a high current load. Batteries are not included in the package.
Strong and light
The model is completely made in molds of solid and rigid EPO foam, which is strongly reinforced in important places. As a whole, the structure stands out for its very low weight and high rigidity, which is a basic prerequisite for an otherwise energy-intensive jet.
Easy and quick assembly
No glue is required for assembly and you can have the Viper ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge the battery! Additionally, the coloring is completed in an exclusive and unique, highly visible cool graphic by Aircraft Studio Design.
AS3X™ stabilization
The Spektrum receiver is equipped with AS3X technology, which helps stabilize the model in flight. The receiver contains a three-axis MEMS gyro and an accelerometer, and thanks to electronic stabilization, control of the model is simplified, e.g. in windy weather. The model reacts similarly to a much larger model and its flight is calm without maintaining its full controllability. AS3X brings more confidence in driving.
SAFE Select™ technology for beginners
Thanks to the SAFE Select technology used, the model can be driven even by a less experienced pilot . The SAFE system prevents oversteer when cornering and also limits climbs and descents. Simply releasing the controller's control sticks will return the model to level flight. These functions will be especially appreciated by novice pilots who are not yet fully confident in driving the models.
As the name SAFE Select itself suggests, this is an optional feature - it's up to you whether you want to use or disable SAFE technology. The pairing method determines whether the SAFE function should be turned on or off. It is also possible to switch the SAFE function on or off even in flight using a free transmitter channel.
Advantages of the SAFE Select™ function:
- It limits the maximum tilts of the model and thus prevents the model from going into a corkscrew.
- Automatically puts the model into horizontal flight when the transmitter control sticks are released
- Using a free channel, the SAFE system can be turned off or on during flight.

Accessories for normal operation
For the normal operation of flying RC models, you need suitable adhesives, a set of tools and a storage case for LiPol batteries. From our assortment, we recommend a quality set of 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0 mm Allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) and Modelcraft cutting knife with A6 pad for cutting will certainly come in handy for assembly.
For quick repair of model airplanes, we recommend the fast-curing 4-minute Epoxy glue. From our offer, we recommend Speed Epoxy 4 min. 71g
Protective covers for accumulators
Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity. The LiPo battery is particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore needs to be thoroughly protected.
