Exclusive technology

The BNF® Basic version is equipped with the exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence to give the feeling of flying in a much larger aircraft. Optional use of SAFE Select offers pitch and roll limits and automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off with the flip of a switch! And if you don't want to activate the SAFE Select functions, pair the receiver in the normal way and only the AS3X will remain active.

SMART technology

The P-51D Mustang 1.2m is equipped with the exclusive Spektrum™ Avian™ Smart Lite controller, which can provide you with a range of real-time telemetry data related to the electric drive, including motor speed, current, battery voltage and more, with the Smart battery and ordinary battery. And this through compatible receivers (including AR631) and transmitters equipped with Spektrum AirWare™, e.g. DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, iX12, iX14, iX20.

AC motor and regulator for 3-4 LiPol cells

The Mustang has a powerful 15BL 850 Kv AC motor with a 10.5 x 8 four-blade propeller with a 75mm diameter cone, a Spektrum Smart Avian 70A Lite 3-6S IC3 controller. With the supplied 4-blade propeller, it has a very quiet sound in flight, and with a 2200-3000mAh 3S LiPol battery, it can fly even basic acrobatic turns. If you want an even more powerful drive, you can replace the battery with a 4-cell one without changing the settings.

Great mockup details

The model is made of light foam, which is very resistant to damage and at the same time easy to repair in the event of a collision. The model is equipped with a whole range of mock-up elements, such as cover paneling, a cockpit with a pilot, authentic coloring and a mock-up cone with a 4-blade propeller.

Retractable landing gear and flaps

For ultimate flight realism, the P-51D Mustang is equipped with electric retractable landing gear that has realistic legs with wheels and landing gear covers. No glue is required to complete assembly. The wing is one-piece and is attached to the fuselage with several screws. The electronics and battery are easily accessible thanks to the large fuselage cover.

Famous camouflage

The model is finished in 1944 "Cripes A'Mighty 3rd" camouflage, based on the plane of World War II pilot George Earl Preddy, Jr., the top Mustang flying ace.

AS3X™ stabilization

The Spektrum receiver is equipped with AS3X technology, which helps stabilize the model in flight. The receiver contains a three-axis MEMS gyro and an accelerometer, and thanks to electronic stabilization , control of the model is simplified , for example in windy weather. The model reacts similarly to a much larger model and its flight is calm without maintaining its full controllability. AS3X brings more confidence in driving.

SAFE Select™ technology for beginners

Thanks to the SAFE Select technology used, the model can be driven even by a less experienced pilot . The SAFE system prevents oversteer when cornering and also limits climbs and descents. Simply releasing the controller's control sticks will return the model to level flight. These functions will be especially appreciated by novice pilots who are not yet fully confident in driving the models.

As the name SAFE Select itself suggests, this is an optional feature - it's up to you whether you want to use or disable SAFE technology. The pairing method determines whether the SAFE function should be turned on or off. It is also possible to turn off or turn on the SAFE function and the flight mode using a free channel of the transmitter.

Advantages of the SAFE Select™ function:

Accessories for normal operation

For the normal operation of flying RC models, you need suitable adhesives, a set of tools and a storage case for LiPol batteries. From our assortment, we recommend a quality set of 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) will certainly come in handy for assembly, and for cutting a Modelcraft cutting knife with an A6 pad.

For quick repair of model airplanes, we recommend the fast-curing 4-minute Epoxy glue. From our offer, we recommend Speed Epoxy 4 min. 71g

Protective covers for accumulators

Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity. The LiPo battery is particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore needs to be thoroughly protected.
