Exclusive technology

This F-86 Saber features exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to offset the effects of wind and turbulence to deliver a locked-in feel that makes you feel like you're flying in a much larger aircraft. Optional use of SAFE Select offers pitch and roll limits along with automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off with the flip of a switch to make the F-86 easy to fly even for less experienced pilots!

Telemetry option

The UMX™ F-86 Saber is equipped with a control unit that includes a Spektrum™ controller and receiver that provides real-time flight battery voltage telemetry to compatible Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/ G3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6 up to 20, iX12 up to 20 and others), during flight.

High performance

The installed 30mm EDF drive unit includes a 4S compatible 1010-8300kv AC motor. This propulsion system setup provides the highest performance yet for a single-engine UMX/ultra-micro class blower model aircraft!

Mockup surface details

A mock-up appearance with a number of details, skin plating, lettering, matriculations, weapon systems and more, are more common in larger model aircraft than most UMX/ultra-micro class models. All functions are proportionally controlled, including the rudder and nose wheel.

Fully assembled

The UMX F-86 Saber is 100% assembled and ready to fly right out of the box! It features top-of-the-line Spektrum 2.4GHz technology that pairs with your Spektrum DSMX/DSM2 5+ channel transmitter so you can be flying within minutes of opening the box.

Finished coloring

The model is painted in the camouflage of Lt. Jim Thompson, who shot down a MiG-15 that had a dragon painted on its side during the Korean War. Soon after, he had a similar dragon painted on the side of his iconic F-86, known as "The Huff". You now also have this camouflage on your machine.

Variable chassis

You can use the supplied rigid landing gear with steerable nose wheel to taxi, take off and land on smooth surfaces. Or you can take off without landing gear for higher speed and vertical performance and easy hand-off and grass landings.

Rigid construction

Precisely shaped and effectively reinforced, the model's EPS-reinforced composite airframe is light but durable and also easy to repair with 2-component epoxy and other polystyrene adhesives.

SAFE technology

Use the exclusive AS3X 3-axis stabilization technology and the ability to activate the SAFE™ (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) flight envelope protection, which increases flight safety for novice pilots. No programming is required, simply remove the pairing connector during model pairing according to the instructions in the manual. The SAFE function ensures the limitation of the flight envelope and ensures the extreme flight limits.

Selecting SAFE activates:

• The limit of tilt, climb and descent will not allow excessive climb and oversteer, for example at the start or greater tilt in a corner
  
• Auto-leveling will immediately return the model to level flight when the control levers are released to neutral

If you decide to use modern Smart LiPo batteries in RC models of airplanes or helicopters, or to charge your batteries from other manufacturers, then we recommend the following chargers:

Accessories for normal operation

For the normal operation of flying RC models, you need suitable adhesives, a set of tools and a storage case for LiPol batteries. From our assortment, we recommend a quality set of 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) will certainly come in handy for assembly, and for cutting a Modelcraft cutting knife with an A6 pad.

For quick repair of model airplanes, we recommend the fast-curing 4-minute Epoxy glue. From our offer, we recommend Speed Epoxy 4 min. 71g

Protective covers for accumulators

Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity. The LiPo battery is particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore needs to be thoroughly protected.
