Advantage of the Bind-N-Fly® version

Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) airplanes facilitate flight preparation quickly and with minimal time. The model comes out of the box with the drive, servos and Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed, so all you have to do is final assembly, pop in your own drive battery, pair the receiver with a suitable compatible transmitter and you're ready to fly!

Exclusive technology

The EC-1500 Twin features exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. AS3X (3-Axis Stabilization) works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence to deliver a locked-in feel that makes you feel like you're flying a much larger aircraft. Optional use of SAFE Select offers pitch and roll limits along with automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off with the flip of a switch! And if you don't want to activate the SAFE Select functions, pair the receiver in the normal way and only the AS3X will remain active.

SMART technology

Both the PNP and BNF Basic versions are equipped with a special Spektrum™ Avian™ Dual Smart Lite controller that can provide a range of real-time power system-related telemetry data, including battery voltage, controller temperature and more – with the Smart and regular battery, via compatible receivers ( including AR8360T installed in BNF® Basic) and Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6, 8, 10 and 20, iX12, iX14, iX20 and others), in real time. In addition, reversing and differential thrust offer improved ground handling for easier taxiing, take-off and landing, along with the ability to perform special aerobatic maneuvers.

Unique abilities

The E-flite EC-1500 Twin RC airplane model can be flown by both moderately experienced and demanding pilots. The model can be a good lamb as well with a suitable setting and with a 4S LiPol battery a real predator. You will experience the most fun flying with a twin-engine model. It has LED lighting installed and a folding cargo door. You can optionally bring your own camera, mount skis on the snow or order and mount floats. Fly on runway, snow and water. You have never had a more versatile model.

Wing configuration options

Functional flaps are divided and you can therefore have a larger area of flaps or ailerons. Or you can mix ailerons for flaps and have ailerons along the entire span of the wing. The agility of the model is incomparably greater and the model is an acrobat with two engines! Add to that the possibility of differentiating the thrust of the engines and you have a plane of new unimagined possibilities.

Compatible with 3S and 4S LiPol

Two high-performance AC motors with 5-blade counter-rotating propellers and two AC controllers with Y cable and EC5 connector are installed in the model, which are compatible with 3S 3200-6400 mAh LiPol battery, which is quite enough for normal sports flying. If you want to use the full capabilities of the model, use a 4S LiPol battery with an EC3 or IC3 connector for hanging and advanced acrobatics.

Functional cargo door

The installed servo controls the cargo door, which has dimensions of 65 x 107mm and cargo space of 65 x 107 x 323mm. It can be used to transport and drop payloads such as paratroopers, parachutes, candy and the like.

Model control

A total of 8 servos are installed in the model, they have metal gears on the rudders, the rudders have reliable hinges and the steered front wheel has its own servo. A separate BEC ensures reliable power supply to the on-board system.

Lighting with LED diodes

Realistic LED lighting includes landing lights in the wing, color-coded outline lights and flashing lights. They are completely installed already in production and powered by a flight battery.

Versatile options thanks to accessories

The EC-1500 Twin model can be launched from various surfaces or from snow using the included skis. You can also install an optional float kit (sold separately) using the included mounting accessories and fly on the water surface. Enjoy flying in any season on land, snow or water.

Easy and quick assembly

No glue is needed for final assembly and you can have the EC-1500 Twin ready to fly before you charge the battery! Two-piece wing with innovative hands-free connector connection, can be easily disassembled for convenient storage and transport. Hand-tightened thumbscrews are used, so no tools are required for assembly / disassembly in the field.

Big, light and durable

Don't be fooled by the 1.5m wingspan, with a large area wing, massive fuselage and large tail surfaces with a high rudder, the EC-1500 is bigger than you might think. However, it is still light and extremely durable, thanks to the composite light and stiff EPO material from which the model is made.

Marking selection option

The attached decal sheet allows you to adapt the coloring of the model to your imagination. Civilian Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy decals are available.

Option to install a camera

The magnetically secured nose of the fuselage can be easily removed and a sports camera (GoPro® etc.) can be installed to record the flight of the model (cameras are not included). You can also install a separate FPV camera in the mounting space at the top of the magnetically secured top cover above the cabin (FPV camera / VTX are not included).

AS3X™ stabilization

The Spektrum receiver is equipped with AS3X technology, which helps stabilize the model in flight. The receiver contains a three-axis MEMS gyro and an accelerometer, and thanks to electronic stabilization , control of the model is simplified , for example in windy weather. The model reacts similarly to a much larger model and its flight is calm without maintaining its full controllability. AS3X brings more confidence in driving.

SAFE Select™ technology for beginners

Thanks to the SAFE Select technology used, the model can be driven even by a less experienced pilot . The SAFE system prevents oversteer when cornering and also limits climbs and descents. Simply releasing the controller's control sticks will return the model to level flight. These functions will be especially appreciated by novice pilots who are not yet fully confident in driving the models.

As the name SAFE Select itself suggests, this is an optional feature - it's up to you whether you want to use or disable SAFE technology. The pairing method determines whether the SAFE function should be turned on or off. It is also possible to turn off or turn on the SAFE function and the flight mode using a free channel of the transmitter.

Advantages of the SAFE Select™ function:

Accessories for normal operation

For the normal operation of flying RC models, you need suitable adhesives, a set of tools and a storage case for LiPol batteries. From our assortment, we recommend a quality set of 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) will certainly come in handy for assembly, and for cutting a Modelcraft cutting knife with an A6 pad.

For quick repair of model airplanes, we recommend the fast-curing 4-minute Epoxy glue. From our offer, we recommend Speed Epoxy 4 min. 71g

Protective covers for accumulators

Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity. The LiPo battery is particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore needs to be thoroughly protected.
