Aerobatic models Extreme Flight are freely based on real aircraft, while the designer has allowed a number of modifications to create a model with a unique appearance and flight performance. The designation EXP has nothing to do with the actual aircraft, but is an abbreviation of "Experimental Progressive". This designation was chosen because the Extreme Flight models use several advanced design and aerodynamic concepts. In a lightweight construction based on balsa and plywood, carbon and glass composite materials are generously used - and at the right places - to achieve high kite strength and rigidity with minimal weight. The result is a robust model capable of handling a wide range of aerodynamic loads but light enough to achieve high performance.
Included in the kit are Side Force Generators (SFGs) that increase the effective side area of the model, making knife flight and other turn-dependent turns easier and more stable. These winglets also make the model more stable in high-angle turns (harriers). We highly recommend that you mount them on the model and experiment with them.
Perfectly sprayed laminate engine cover and aerodynamic wheel covers as well as the choice of multiple color schemes of ULTRACOTE (= Oracover) coating with high visibility will give you a model that you will be rightly proud of at the airport. The combination of all these modern elements creates a model that pushes the boundaries of modern aerobatic flying. Extreme Flight models excel in all modes of modern aerobatics including slow 3D aerobatics at low altitude, fast and aggressive extreme aerobatics and classic precision aerobatics.
Sports semiscale model of German aerobatic plane for 3-4 kW AC electric motor for experienced pilots for flying classic precision and extreme 3D aerobatics. < / p>
The hull of the model is a classic construction of plywood and balsa laser-carved parts with composite reinforcements with a removable laminate engine cover and a removable upper fuselage with cab for perfect access to the propulsion system and RC equipment. The motor is mounted in the rear mounting on a plywood box bed.
The two-piece wing with symmetrical profile (halves are slid sideways on the carbon tubular coupling and secured with screws) is also a classic design with solid balsa coating. Wings with large surface are controlled by 2 independent servos. You can provide the wing ends with the supplied winglets.
The tail surfaces are lightweight balsa construction, GTC is a two-part companion stabilizer slipped on a carbon tube. Half of the elevator is controlled by servos stored in the tail of the fuselage with short straight rods; rudder is controlled by cable drives servo stored in the cabin. The entire model is coated with iron-on ULTRACOTE (this is a US trademark for the well-known Oracover films).
The chassis is a spur-type with duralumin main legs, wheels with laminate covers and wire spur with a carbon console coupled with a rudder.
You will need a 3-4 kW brushless motor (eg Xpwr 40cc) with at least 120 A speed controller powered from an 8-12S LiPo battery 3500-5000 mAh with a load capacity of at least 40C.
At least six-channel computer RC kit is suitable for controlling the model - the possibility of precise setting of "paired" servos and programming of double and exponential deflections in the right size is essential for flying acrobatics - classic precision and extreme 3D -.
Servos meet fast and powerful in standard size - eg Hitec HS-7985MG, D954SW etc.
Kit contains: iron-on fuselage-coated fuselage, wing and tail, sprayed laminate engine cover, complete set of accessories, alloy chassis, spurs, wheels and instructions. < / p>
