In the early 50s Danish architect and former wartime RAF pilot Ejnar Billing exhibited a self-made model of a fishing boat in the window hobby store belonging to his wife. After the photo of the model appeared in a magazine, Mr. Billing overwhelmed in order to position dozens of pieces of the same model. Because it was not in his power so much to handle, it occurred to him that the boat will offer a kit - the first mass-produced kit with wooden frames with the keel, ribs and planking hull design mimicking the most real ship. This method of construction is quickly befriended by Mr billing models and began to conquer the world. In 1958, then founded the company bearing the family name still Billing Boats. Wasa 1:75

Wasa ship of the line was about 64 guns built by Dutch architects in the shipyard in Stockholm for Swedish King Gustav Adolf; Water was launched in 1627. The length was 230 feet, 35 feet in width, draft of 14 feet and a displacement of 1,400 tons. She served her crew of 133 sailors (they took care of the sail) and 300 troops (Operation 64 works) and was one of the most powerful warships not only on the Baltic Sea. And thanks to the magnificent carved ornaments also the most beautiful. High bodywork with heavy ornaments, high altitude second artillery deck forced upon the royal command, although the original project counted only once, Wase, along with other design errors (inadequate weight ballast, low positioned lower gun deck, whose loopholes ship took tilted water) became fatal. During the first voyage, still to do so within the Stockholm harbor, capsized and the bottom of each quarter pulled the crew. In 1961 he was lifted after years of conservation with a special solution and thorough repair became "Swedish Titanic" jewel of the Maritime Museum in Stockholm. Wasa is designed for advanced boat builders; It is designed as a non-floating table mockup.

Wasa has a classic wooden hull structure made of laser-carved parts of the hull planking and a wooden deck. Kit includes all wooden, plastic and metal parts needed to complete the model, dummy accessories, sails etc.
