The newest model of the RGT brand brings an unrivaled price/performance ratio. The body in a modern design hides a chassis with a reduced center of gravity, using a two-speed gearbox with reverse rotation, free switching of the drive with the DIG system and increased speed of the front wheels (overdrive) by 6%.
The engine mounting and transmission have already proven themselves very well in the previous RGT CHALLENGER model, so they are used here almost unchanged. Only the gear ratio has been slightly increased for even better control at low speeds. The resulting weight ratio between the front and rear axle is 60%/40%.
While one micro-servo controls the shift between first and second gear, the other is dedicated to switching between all-wheel drive, front-wheel drive and DIG, bringing additional options and capabilities when traversing rough terrain.
The central gearbox contains a set of reverse gears so that the axle drive shafts rotate in the opposite direction. Thanks to this, the torque-twist is limited and the overall balance of the model is improved.
The use of helical gears allowed the drive shafts to be located in the axles above the level of the suspension lines. Thanks to this, the ground clearance in this part of the car has increased, and in addition, the shafts are better protected against contact with the terrain.
The updated design of the front axle with CVD half-axles increases the maximum turning angle up to 46 degrees.
The modern body design with transparent windows is completed by a number of realistic accessories and sophisticated headlights. These are controlled using a dedicated light module with a magnetic connector for easy connection. The equipment of the previous model also includes a built-in winch powered by a 25 kg 360-degree servo with a 90 cm long cable.
