RGT has released the Intruder (EX86020), a new 1/10 scale expedition special designed for realistic off-road adventures. Built on a platform with a wheelbase of 285 mm, it embodies the essence of a two-door off-road vehicle with a solid body and a classic look.
Intruder emphasizes durability. 3mm CNC aluminum chassis ladders and steel suspension lines form a solid foundation for the chassis.
The chassis has a split transmission design with reverse rotation drive shafts, all-wheel drive and a front-mounted engine for stability. Steering precision is ensured by an axle-mounted servo with a Panhard rod for a positive Ackermann steering angle.
The use of helical gears allowed the drive shafts to be located in the axles above the level of the suspension lines. Thanks to this, the ground clearance in this part of the car has increased, and in addition, the shafts are better protected against contact with the terrain.
The inspiration for the body of the model is the Toyota LC71 model. The exterior is enriched with realistic details and is available in metallic red and silver.
