Do you already own a Spektrum™ RC transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft are ready to fly. A motor with a speed controller, servos and a Spektrum 2.4 GHz receiver are installed. So just pair the receiver in your model with your compatible transmitter, complete the final assembly, and fly (transmitter, battery, and charger sold separately).

Smart™ Technology

The exclusive Spektrum™ Avian™ Smart controller provides a full range of real-time telemetry data, including engine RPM, current draw, flight battery voltage, and more, via the Smart receiver and compatible Spektrum transmitter equipped with Spektrum AirWare™ technology (DX6e, DX8e, DX6 G2/3, DX8 G2, DX9, NX6, 8, and 10, iX12, iX20, and more).

AS3X+™ stabilization

The Spektrum receiver is equipped with AS3X+ technology, which helps stabilize the model in flight. The receiver contains a three-axis MEMS gyro and accelerometer, and thanks to electronic stabilization, it is automatically quick corrections to the model's control e.g. in turbulence or windy weather. The model behaves similarly to a much larger model and its flight is calm, while its full controllability is maintained. AS3X+ brings safer flight and more confidence in control.

The AS3X+ stabilization algorithm creates better flight performance, improves sensor accuracy and data rate and provides pilots with a generation-different feel compared to AS3X. The new AS3X+ parameters and new setting options in Forward Programming make it the easiest all-purpose stabilization system. It features a significantly improved algorithm that has been thoroughly tested by experts.

SAFE Select™ technology for beginners

Thanks to the SAFE Select technology, even a less experienced pilot can control the model. The SAFE system provides both electronic flight stability and tilt limits, therefore it prevents exceeding the tilt in a turn and also limits climb and descent. Simply by releasing the controller's control sticks, the model returns to horizontal flight. These functions will be appreciated especially by pilots who are not yet fully confident in controlling models.

This is an optional function - it is up to you whether you want to use SAFE technology or not. The pairing method determines whether the SAFE function should be turned on or off. It is also possible to turn the SAFE function on or off during flight using a switch on a free channel of the transmitter.

Advantages of the SAFE Select™ function:

• Automatically puts the model into horizontal flight when the transmitter control sticks are released to the center positions
  
• Using a free channel, the SAFE system can be turned on or off during flight.
  

Versatile chassis

You can use thick grass, gravel roads, unpaved trails, even local lakes and ponds as launch and landing areas. Stronger, reinforced fuselage mounts combined with higher-resistance springs absorb surface irregularities. This is further aided by large Tundra-style wheels.

The included float set with two water rudders for excellent maneuverability gives you even more unforgettable options. Whichever landing gear you choose, both are easy to install and can be swapped out in minutes.

STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) Features

The wing includes features such as lowered wingtips and functional flaps. For better slow flight and short takeoff and landing (STOL) performance, slots can be glued to the leading edge of the wing, which prevent the airfoils on the upper side of the profile from tearing off. Of course, slots mean higher wing drag and are not suitable for faster flying.

Power

The factory-installed AC drive system is equipped with a Spektrum Avian 70 A Smart Lite ESC and a specially tuned motor and two-blade propeller, providing enough thrust with a 3S LiPo battery for comfortable flight. Or, when using a 4S LiPo battery, you get high power and almost unlimited vertical thrust. A new top cover and larger compartment make it easy to install a wide range of batteries from 3S LiPo 2200 mAh to 4S LiPo 5000 mAh (batteries sold separately).

Increased durability

The composite structure of the airframe made of EPO material ensures lightness and strength. The wing is also reinforced, which improves rigidity for basic aerobatic elements. Servos with metal gears are used for the rudders, ensuring high reliability.

LED lighting

Like the original, the Timber 1.5m 10th Anniversary Special Edition comes with realistic-looking LED landing, navigation and strobe lights, which are factory-installed and powered by the drive battery.

Easy assembly

Assembling the aircraft does not require glue, finished parts such as the wing or landing gear are easily screwed on. This means you'll have your model ready to fly in much less time than conventional aircraft. The two-piece wing, now with combined servo and LED connectors, also makes transport and storage easier than ever before.

Smart G2 batteries are even simpler and safer, thanks to the absence of a balance connector. G2 batteries also have up to 3x faster automatic discharge to storage mode. Smart G2 batteries can only be charged with Spektrum Smart and Smart G2 chargers.

Accessories for normal operation

For normal operation of flying RC models, you need suitable adhesives, a tool kit and a storage case for LiPol batteries. From our range, we recommend a quality set of 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm Allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). For assembly, Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) will certainly come in handy, and for cutting, Modelcraft cutting knife with A6 washer.

For quick repairs of aircraft models, we recommend fast-curing 4-minute Epoxy glue. From our offer, we recommend Speed Epoxy 4 min. 71g

Protective packaging for batteries

Protective packaging is designed to reduce the risk associated with transporting and charging batteries. LiPo batteries can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity while maintaining small dimensions and low weight. LiPo batteries are particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore need to be thoroughly protected.
