The Plug-N-Play (PNP) version comes with a factory-installed power system and servos ready to connect to a compatible receiver of your choice (sold separately), plus a transmitter and batteries you supply (also sold separately). Simply install the receiver, complete the final assembly, and you're ready to fly!

extra LED lights

The Night Timber X has high-brightness LED lights built into the entire airframe to allow night flying. Powered by a 3S or 4S 2200-3200mAh flight battery, they can also be easily disconnected for daylight flying. In addition, just like the original, the Night Timber® X 1.2m is equipped with realistic-looking LED landing, navigation and strobe lights.

eXtreme maneuverability

The Night Timber X Evolution 1.2m features a shortened-span wing design with much larger ailerons and flaps, along with increased elevator and rudder compared to the Timber 1.5m models. Double-sloped hinge lines allow each control surface, including the flaps, which can move in both directions, to be deflected to high angles for excellent control and 3D aerobatic capabilities. However, at small deflections, the control can be smooth and responsive, so you can fly as slowly or aggressively as you like!

eXtreme performance

The factory-installed AC power system includes a Spektrum Avian 70A Smart Lite ESC, a specially tuned motor and propeller that provide high thrust with a 3S LiPo battery or extra power and unlimited vertical flight with a 4S battery – all without any modifications or upgrades. Plus, a convenient top cover and larger battery compartment allow for easy battery use.

eXtreme durability

The hollow construction with EPO composite reinforcement ensures a lightweight yet highly durable kite. The Night Timber X Evolution 1.2m also features improved and more reliable metal gear servos that provide precise control no matter your flying style.

STOL features

The wing has a shorter span but almost the same area as the Timber 1.5m models. In addition, it can be supplemented with the included optional slots on the leading edge for even better slow flight characteristics. Thanks to these features, together with the lightweight construction, oversized flaps and powerful propulsion system, the model can take off or land on a surface area of less than 60 cm!

Easy to assemble

No glue is required to assemble the model, so the Night Timber X Evolution can be ready to fly before you have time to charge the batteries. Plus, the two-piece wing with integrated servo connectors and LED lighting makes it easy to transport to the airport and store.

Editing options

Thick grass, gravel roads, dirt tracks – even local lakes and ponds. The Night Timber X Evolution can handle surfaces that are insurmountable for most models of this size. Stronger, reinforced fuselage mounts, along with a suspension chassis equipped with reinforced springs (similar to the Twin Timber 1.6m), effectively absorb impacts when landing on uneven terrain. Plus, the large tundra wheels provide excellent propeller clearance.

For water launches, an optional float kit (sold separately) is available with a pair of water rudders for excellent maneuverability on the water. Whether you choose the wheeled landing gear or floats, changing them is quick and easy, and can be done in minutes.

Smart G2 batteries are even simpler and safer, thanks to the absence of a balance connector. G2 batteries also have up to 3x faster automatic discharge to storage mode. Smart G2 batteries can only be charged with Spektrum Smart and Smart G2 chargers.

If you decide to use modern Smart LiPo batteries in your RC model airplanes or helicopters, or to charge your batteries from other manufacturers, then we recommend these chargers:

Accessories for normal operation

For normal operation of flying RC models you need suitable adhesives, a tool kit and a storage case for LiPol batteries. From our range we recommend a quality set of 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm Allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). For assembly, Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) will certainly come in handy, and for cutting, Modelcraft cutting knife with A6 washer.

For quick repairs of aircraft models, we recommend a fast-curing 4-minute Epoxy glue. From our offer, we recommend Speed Epoxy 4 min. 71g

Protective covers for batteries

Protective packaging is designed to reduce the risk associated with transporting and charging batteries. LiPo batteries can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity while maintaining small dimensions and low weight. LiPo batteries are particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore need to be carefully protected.
