Extreme Flight's aerobatic models are loosely based on real airplanes, with the designer allowing himself a number of modifications to create a model with a unique appearance and flight performance. In the lightweight construction, which is based on balsa and plywood parts, carbon and glass composite materials are used generously - and in the right places - to achieve high strength and stiffness of the kite at a minimum weight. The result is a robust model capable of handling a wide range of aerodynamic loads, yet light enough to achieve high performance.

The kit includes tuning winglets or Side Force Generators (SFG) increasing the effective side surface of the model, making knife flight and other turns depending on the "authority" of the rudder easier and more stable. These winglets also make the model more stable during high angle of attack (harrier) turns. We highly recommend that you mount them on your model and experiment with them.

The perfectly sprayed laminate engine cover and aerodynamic wheel covers, as well as the option to choose from several color schemes of the ULTRACOTE (=Oracover) high-visibility iron-on foil cover, will give you a model that you will be rightly proud of at the airport. The combination of all these modern elements creates a model that pushes the boundaries of modern aerobatic flying. Extreme Flight models excel in all modes of modern aerobatics including slow 3D low altitude aerobatics, fast and aggressive extreme aerobatics and classic precision aerobatics.

A sports semi-model of a German aerobatic plane for propulsion with a 60-70 cc gasoline engine or a 6 kW AC electric motor for experienced pilots to fly classic precise and extreme 3D acrobatics.

The fuselage of the model is a classic construction of plywood and balsa laser-cut parts with composite reinforcements with a removable laminate engine cover and a removable top of the fuselage with a cabin (with a second generation quick-release system) for perfect access to the propulsion system and RC equipment. The engine mounts in a rear mount on a plywood box bed; a tunnel on the underside of the fuselage is prepared for possible installation of a tuned muffler.

The two-part wing with a symmetrical profile (the halves are slid from the side onto a carbon tube coupling and secured with a second-generation quick-release system) is also a classic construction with an all-balsa hard cover. The wings with a large area are controlled by 2 independent servos. You can equip the ends of the wings with the supplied winglets.

The tail surfaces are light all-balsa construction, the VOP is two-part with stabilizer halves pushed onto the carbon tube. The elevator halves are controlled by servos housed in the horizontal stabilizer with short straight rods; the rudder is controlled by cable drives with a servo stored in the cabin space, or by a rod with a servo located in the rear part of the hull. The entire model is coated with ULTRACOTE iron-on foil (this is the brand name used in the USA for the well-known Oracover foils).

The chassis is a spur type with carbon main legs, wheels with laminate covers and a wire spur with a carbon bracket mated to the turn signal.

For propulsion, you will need a 60-70 cc gasoline engine (e.g. GP-61, OS GT-60) or a 6 kW AC electric motor (e.g. Xpwr 60cc) with at least a 160 A speed controller powered by a 12S LiPo battery with a load capacity of 5000-6000 mAh at least 40C.

At least a seven-channel computer RC set is suitable for controlling the model - the ability to accurately set "paired" servos and program double and exponential deflections in the right size is essential for flying acrobatics - classic precision and extreme 3D.

Servos that are fast and very strong in a standard size will do – e.g. Hitec Hitec HS-7950TH, D980TW, HSB-9381TH, or Savöx SB-2290SG and one standard servo for throttle control.

Kit includes: iron-on foil covered fuselage, wing and tail surfaces, sprayed laminate engine cover, complete set of accessories, carbon chassis, spur, wheels and instructions.
