The Protos 380STD V2 is a top-of-the-line 380-class flybarless helicopter that allows for a wide variety of engines and electronics to be installed, making it easy to meet the demands of sport/recreational pilots as well as seasoned extreme 3D aerobatics professionals. The design uses many of the proven features of the large Protos 700 Maxx V2 machines, such as the composite "Gorilla" chassis, the external timing belt tensioner of the balancing rotor, the drive train with two toothed belts or the magnetic cab mounts. Other advantages of the V2 version include the improved geometry of the servos and control rods, optimized mass distribution to achieve the correct center of gravity position, a large space for the speed regulator or rigid balance rotor blades ensuring control in demanding 3D turns with greater authority and precision.
