Model with DXS transmitter

The Ready-To-Fly (RTF) Basic version of the set includes a Spektrum™ DXS, DSMX® 2.4GHz transmitter including AA batteries for the transmitter. For the flight, it is necessary to purchase a 3-4S LiPo battery and an adequate charger.

A unique concept

Jets are usually faster and harder to control than most propeller driven models. The HABU STS flies easily even at low speeds, making it uniquely possible to learn to successfully fly radio controlled jet aircraft.

High performance of the drive unit

The model is equipped with a 70mm diameter 10-blade rotor blower that provides enough thrust with a 3S LiPol battery or even more power and speed with a 4S LiPol battery without the need for any adjustments.

Durable construction

The EPO material is a light and stiff foam from which the individual components of the model are precisely made in the molds. In case you damage a part, the advantage is that it is easy to repair and the parts can be glued with 2-component Epoxy. If it is a non-repairable part, spare parts can be used to repair it.

Easy assembly

The Habu STS 70mm EDF RTF comes with individual parts such as fuselage, wing, tail surfaces etc. These parts are fully painted, complete with all components and electronics. Just assemble these basic parts with a few screws and you'll be ready to fly before you charge the battery.

3-wheel chassis

For safe take-offs and landings, the 3-wheel landing gear is ideal, which easily holds the direction, is stable and, thanks to the controlled bow leg, excellent controllable when taxiing. The model can also be taken off on a well-maintained grassy area.

Blower 70mm

The powerful and silent blower has 10 blades with high efficiency. It was created by optimizing the previous models of the EDF70 series and represents the top in its class. It is powered by a 2847-3200Kv high-speed 6-pole AC motor with a 70A regulator.

Optional landing sensor

For easier landing, you can add a Spektrum™ Landing Assist Sensor (LAS) to the model. It is easy to install and provides automatic control during the difficult landing phase. The sensor can read the height of the model above the terrain and better guide the model to the exact height at which to perform sub-leveling and landing.

The Habu STS has integrated intelligent SAFE™ (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology in the control unit, which maximizes flight safety and ensures a smooth flight. At the same time, it maintains full controllability of the model, so the pilot has a feeling of maximum safety. The latest technology for safe flight training not only ensures calm and stable flight (AS3X), but also has a function to bring the model into horizontal flight with the Panic Recovery button. If the beginner gets into an unstable position, just press the button and the model will automatically go into a horizontal position. When the button is released, manual control is immediately restored.

One of three flight modes can be selected for control.

• Beginner , it has a limited elevator and aileron tilt, when the levers are put in neutral, the model stabilizes in a horizontal position, the engine speed is regulated according to the climb or descent, and there is also assistance during take-off and landing.
  
• Advanced , greater steering tilt, extreme flight positions are limited. There is already great control freedom and minimal flight correction.
  
• Expert has no flight position restrictions.
  

Recommended batteries

To power the model, we recommend a driving LiPol battery with 3 or 4 cells (11.1 V, 14.8 V).

If you decide to use modern Smart LiPo batteries in RC models of airplanes or helicopters, or to charge your batteries from other manufacturers, then we recommend the following chargers:

Accessories for normal operation

For the normal operation of flying RC models, you need suitable adhesives, a set of tools and a storage case for LiPol batteries. From our assortment, we recommend a quality set of 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) will certainly come in handy for assembly, and for cutting a Modelcraft cutting knife with an A6 pad.

For quick repair of model airplanes, we recommend the fast-curing 4-minute Epoxy glue. From our offer, we recommend Speed Epoxy 4 min. 71g

Protective covers for accumulators

Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity. The LiPo battery is particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore needs to be thoroughly protected.
