The package contains the finished parts of the AeroScout S 2 RC aircraft model with installed components: Hobbyzone 2306-2250Kv brushless motor, Avian 30A Smart Lite IC3 brushless controller, 3x Spektrum A390 8g servo (aileron and elevator), 1x Spektrum A392 13g MG servo (rudder/nose wheel) and Spektrum AR631+ 6CH AS3X/SAFE receiver. The package also includes a Spektrum DXS DSMX transmitter with simulator adapter, 4 pcs. AA alkaline batteries for the transmitter. Characteristics

The beginner's RC model of the AeroScout S 2 with a wingspan of 1.1 m is ideal for learning to fly. The high-wing with a pusher propeller, 3-wheel landing gear with large wheels and electronic stabilization minimize the risk of damaging the model during your first attempts. This new version of the S 2 has a more durable nose wheel mount, metal-geared rudder servos, electronics with very easy-to-use model settings and in addition a download key for the RealFlight Trainer Edition simulator is included, on which you can master basic piloting skills and later hone aerobatic tricks without risk. The model allows absolutely anyone to learn to fly and is perfectly equipped for this. It includes AS3X electronic stabilization, which automatically compensates for wind gusts, and SAFE technology with flight modes from beginner to advanced mode, including the Panic function, which levels the model into horizontal flight if you lose control of it.

An important condition for a good training model is its resistance to damage. The propeller behind the trailing edge of the wing ensures perfect protection not only for the propeller itself, but also for the engine. The AeroScout S 2 model is made of very durable EPO material, which is additionally reinforced with structural elements, so it can withstand rough landings by beginners very well. Large wheels with a steerable nose leg make it easy to take off and land on a variety of surfaces, including grass in large parks, on a playground or in a meadow.

The model aircraft is equipped with a 30A AC regulator with telemetry, which transmits information to the receiver and then to the transmitter. You will see the charge level of the propulsion battery on the included DXS transmitter. If you later use a compatible Spektrum G2 transmitter with a display, you could also have a variety of telemetry data related to the performance of the systems in real time, including engine speed, current, battery voltage and more via the Spektrum™ AirWare™ menu. The powerful brushless motor is more than enough for your first aerobatic tricks, including somersaults, turns, and even inverted flights. The lightweight construction and low wing area loading guarantee a wide range of flight speeds and incredible controllability, which even experienced pilots will appreciate.

The receiver also includes a new function Upload settings from the receiver to the transmitter (Smart Transmitter File), which makes setting up the model easy and a matter of seconds. More information can be found here.

The Ready-To-Fly (RTF) version includes a complete model equipped with electronics and a Spektrum DXS RC transmitter, just add a 3S LiPo 11.1V 1300–2200mAh battery with a compatible charger! The final assembly of the finished parts is very easy, just screw on the landing gear, connect the marked connectors, attach the rudder, wing and secure the screws.

Durable construction

The model concept with a push-type engine arrangement perfectly protects the propeller from damage during rough landing and reduces the risk of its damage. The entire model is made in molds and foamed with super light and very stiff yet flexible EPO material. It withstands extreme loads during training a new pilot and can withstand impacts that, for example, mean severe destruction in a wooden structure. If the material breaks, it sticks perfectly with 2-component Epoxy and after a while you can be ready to take off again. A complete range of spare parts is available!

Easy and quick assembly

The Hobbyzone AeroScout S 2 RC airplane model is delivered in a box where the individual parts of the airplane are stored. All these parts are completely ready for final assembly and have the necessary electronics and drive installed, so you only need to use a few screws and in a moment you will have a finished model on your table. Before you charge the battery, you will have the model ready to fly.

Sturdy chassis with large wheels

The wide, stable three-wheel chassis with large tires and a steerable nose wheel will keep you entertained! Takeoffs and landings will be much easier. That's why you can also go with the model on less quality surfaces, which the wheels will handle safely. The 3-wheel chassis makes it easier to start because it is stable when starting, does not run off course and is easy to control.

Optional floats

Turn the AeroScout 2 into a seaplane using the optional float kit (sold separately). Installation takes just a few minutes and all the necessary materials are included in the aircraft and float kit.

Smart Technology

The electronics in the model with Spektrum Smart technology send telemetry data to the transmitter. When using the included DXS transmitter, the battery level will be displayed using 4 LEDs and an audible warning will sound when the battery is low. For complete telemetry, use a Spektrum Smart battery in the model and control it with a Spektrum Generation 2 transmitter with display (DX G2 or NX series) (not included).

Simulator in the package

RealFlight, as one of the best RC flight simulators, is included in the Trainer Edition version. The simulator contains 8 Horizon Hobby models, including helicopters, and after 2 and 4 hours of flying, additional models and options will be unlocked. (The package includes a card with a key for downloading the simulator from the Steam website. An adapter and USB cable for connecting the transmitter to a PC are also included.)

AS3X and SAFE flight stabilization included, which will make flying easier.

The model has integrated AS3X and SAFE stabilization. AS3X+ technology helps stabilize the model in flight. The receiver contains a three-axis MEMS gyro and accelerometer, and thanks to electronic stabilization, quick corrections to the model's control are automatically made, e.g. in turbulence or windy weather. The model behaves similarly to a much larger model and its flight is calm, while its full controllability is maintained. AS3X+ brings safer flight and more confidence in control. SAFE technology brings even more for new pilots, there are 3 flight modes available, depending on the level of experience and the Panic function for automatic leveling of the model.

Beginner Mode

Beginner mode has limited tilt by the elevator and ailerons, when the sticks are released to neutral, the model automatically returns to a horizontal position, the engine speed is regulated according to the climb or descent and there is also assistance during takeoff and landing.

Advanced Mode

Advanced mode allows for greater tilt of the model, but it will not roll over onto its back or fall. Flight positions are limited to approximately 60° of tilt. There is already great freedom of control and minimal flight corrections are made. In this mode, the automatic return to the horizontal position after releasing the levers to neutral is no longer active.

Expert Mode

In Expert flight mode, control is completely free without corrections and without restrictions on flight positions. You can even fly on your back and perform aerobatic maneuvers.

Panic Recovery - Flight Recovery

If you ever lose control of the aircraft in more advanced flight modes, simply press the Panic Recovery button, or switch to Beginner mode and release the control sticks. SAFE® technology automatically returns the aircraft to level flight.

Protective battery cases

Protective cases are designed to reduce the risk associated with transporting and charging batteries. LiPo batteries can provide high discharge currents while maintaining small dimensions and low weight and have a large capacity for long operating times.
