First used on the limited edition Pro-Line 40th Anniversary Axial® SCX10™ III, the 1982 Chevy K-10 body is now available in a clear version that you can breathe your own color style into!

Even casual car enthusiasts will instantly recognize the iconic Chevy K10, which earned the nickname "square body" thanks to its straight lines. Despite its shape, it was the first generation C/K to be optimized on the computer and in the wind tunnel for lower drag and fuel consumption.

This officially licensed body comes with details such as a sculpted grille, front and rear bumpers, brake lights and side mirrors. Comes pre-cut and includes an extensive decal sheet with Pro-Line side graphics and window masks.

Construction

To finish, you need to paint the bodywork. Lexan bodies are always delivered as a semi-finished product intended for carving and painting. First of all, you need to cut out the body nicely, to make the holes for the wheels as round as possible, bent lexan scissors will help you. For flat surfaces, we also offer lexan straight scissors.
When choosing colors for the polycarbonate bodywork, you need to be careful to buy a real lexan spray, e.g. H-SPEED Lexan Spray 150ml white. and cracking even with the biggest impact.
Before painting, the body must be thoroughly degreased, most manufacturers recommend washing the body with spring water. After degreasing, use masking tape from the inside of the bodywork, e.g. 24mm masking tape to create the design of your choice, or apply the masking stickers supplied by the manufacturer to the windows and lights.
It is important to know that lexan bodies are painted from the inside, which makes the body resistant to abrasion. Varnishing should take place best in rooms with room temperature. Individual colors are applied in at least three layers, it is important to apply the color from a sufficient distance, at least 15-20 cm.
