Characteristics
The E-flite P-51D Mustang 1.0 m RC model is a replica of the most popular fighter aircraft of all time! It allows for comfortable hobby and sport flying and with its excellent flight characteristics is an alternative to the popular E-flite T-28 1.1 m. This model was also designed as a smaller, simpler and more affordable version of the P-51 1.2 m model, which will be appreciated by pilots who do not want to deal with the "complexity" of flaps or do not have an airport suitable for retractable landing gear. Thanks to its slightly smaller size, it is still well visible and can handle flying in stronger winds than smaller micro and ultra micro class models. Nevertheless, it can also be flown in large parks and sports fields. This makes it a perfect universal scale model of a low-wing warplane ideal for less experienced pilots as a next step after a beginner model, for pilots who want to start learning to fly aerobatics, and for experienced pilots for everyday flying.

The model is constructed from durable EPO material. A rigid landing gear with a steerable rear wheel makes it easy to taxi, take off and land on smooth surfaces. Or you can remove the landing gear, launch it with a hand-held throw and land on its belly in the grass. Although the model is compact for easy transport in a car or for storage, it is also equipped with wings with hands-free servo connections, allowing for quick disassembly and assembly. A powerful drive system with a brushless motor and a 30A controller with telemetry support, can be powered by popular 3S-4S LiPo 1300-2200 mAh batteries. The ailerons, elevator and rudder are equipped with a total of four Spektrum digital servos with metal gears, ensuring precise and reliable control. The color is factory finished with the "Ferocious Frankie" camouflage, which was used on the Mustang piloted by Major Wallace E. Hopkins - a fighter ace with 8 victories during World War II.
The BNF Basic version features a Spektrum AR631+ receiver with innovative AS3X+ technology that effectively compensates for wind and turbulence, and optional SAFE Select technology for even easier control for less experienced pilots. These features allow pilots to choose the level of assistance according to their abilities. The receiver also includes a new Smart Transmitter File feature, making transmitter setup easy and a matter of seconds.

Skill Level 2 – Requires some experience
Skill level 2 aircraft such as this model are primarily suitable for simulator-trained RC pilots who have successfully learned to fly a training model and for those who have the skills to build, set up and fly models of a similar class. Although it is an excellent flying and stable model, the E-flite P-51D Mustang 1.0m is not suitable as a first RC model for novice pilots with little flying experience. You should have experience and skills with models such as the AeroScout 1.1m and Carbon Cub 1.3m, or models such as the Valiant 1.3m, Turbo Timber Evolution 1.5m and other models of a similar class.

Versatility and strength
The factory-installed brushless drive includes a 30A controller with telemetry capability and a specially tuned motor that provides great thrust with a 3S 1300-2200mAh LiPo battery or greater speed and nearly unlimited vertical power with a 4S LiPo 2200mAh battery.

Telemetry option
The ESC provides a range of real-time telemetry data, including motor speed, current draw, flight battery voltage and more, via the Smart AR631+ receiver and compatible Spektrum transmitter equipped with Spektrum AirWare™ technology (DX6e, DX8e, DX6 G2/3, DX8 G2, DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, iX12, iX20 and more) during flight.

Easy assembly
No glue is required for final assembly, so you can have the P-51 Mustang ready to fly in less time than any other plane! And while it's conveniently sized to fit fully assembled in a car, you can disassemble the one-piece wing for even easier storage and transport. Built-in wing locks and hands-free servo connection mean you can remove/install the wing almost instantly without the use of any special tools.

Fixed chassis
The included fixed landing gear with steerable rear wheel allows for taxiing, takeoff and landing on smooth surfaces. Or you can remove the landing gear for more speed and vertical performance. Launch with a hand-held launch and land on your belly in the grass, aided by the Hand Launch Assist Mode and SAFE Select features included in the BNF version.

The lightweight yet durable EPO airframe is reinforced with composite for added strength, and factory-installed digital metal-geared servos provide crisp, precise control in any situation.

AS3X+™ stabilization
The Spektrum receiver is equipped with AS3X+ technology, which helps stabilize the model in flight. The receiver contains a three-axis MEMS gyro and accelerometer, and thanks to electronic stabilization, the control of the model is simplified, for example in windy weather. The model reacts similarly to a much larger model and its flight is calm, without maintaining its full controllability. AS3X+ brings more confidence in control.
The AS3X+ stabilization algorithm creates better flight performance, improves sensor accuracy and data rate, and provides pilots with a generational different feel compared to the AS3X. The new AS3X+ parameters and new Forward Programming settings make it the easiest all-round stabilization system to use. It features a significantly improved algorithm that has been thoroughly tested by experts.
SAFE Select™ technology for beginners
Thanks to the SAFE Select technology, even a less experienced pilot can control the model . The SAFE system prevents over-banking in turns and also limits climb and descent. Simply releasing the controller's control sticks returns the model to level flight. These functions will be appreciated especially by novice pilots who are not yet fully confident in controlling the models.
As the name SAFE Select suggests, it is an optional feature - it is up to you whether you want to use or disable SAFE technology. The pairing method determines whether the SAFE function should be enabled or disabled. It is also possible to disable or enable the SAFE function during flight using a free transmitter channel.

Accessories for normal operation
For normal operation of flying RC models you need suitable adhesives, a tool kit and a storage case for LiPol batteries. From our range we recommend a quality set of 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm Allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). For assembly, Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) will certainly come in handy, and for cutting, Modelcraft cutting knife with A6 washer.
For quick repairs of aircraft models, we recommend a fast-curing 4-minute Epoxy glue. From our offer, we recommend Speed Epoxy 4 min. 71g

Protective covers for batteries
Protective packaging is designed to reduce the risk associated with transporting and charging batteries. LiPo batteries can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity while maintaining small dimensions and low weight. LiPo batteries are particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore need to be carefully protected.
