Level 2 - Requires some experience

Level 2 RC planes are suitable for pilots who already have some experience in building, setting up and flying models of a similar class. Although the Turbo Timber SWS is equipped with the optional SAFE Select function, it is not a suitable model for beginners. You should have the experience necessary to successfully fly smaller STOL models or larger models such as the E-flite Turbo Timber Evolution 1.5m etc before flying the Turbo Timber SWS 2.0m.

SMART technology

The Turbo Timber SWS 2.0m is equipped with an exclusive Spektrum Avian Smart controller that can provide a range of real-time telemetry data, including engine speed, current draw, battery voltage and more – with and without Smart. battery – via compatible receivers (including AR8360T installed) and Spektrum AirWare equipped transmitters (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6 up to 20, iX12 up to 20 and others) in flight.

Choose the power of the drive

The installed Spektrum Avian AC motor is compatible with 4S to 6S LiPol batteries and offers a wide range of performance - from quiet sport flying and basic aerobatics with 4S LiPol batteries to almost unlimited vertical performance with 6S batteries! A practical magnetically secured cover, located on the top of the fuselage, makes it very easy to replace the 3200mAh - 7000mAh battery pack.

Wooden model kite

The structure of the model's airframe is entirely wooden, made of balsa and plywood. therefore it is light but stiff and strong. That's why it offers flying experiences that you can't experience with models made of pressed foam! The model has individual parts coated with original UltraCote film. The BNF Basic version includes rugged, pre-installed Spektrum digital servos with A6380 metal gears. In case you damage parts of the model airframe and cannot repair them, there are a number of spare parts available.

Easy assembly

Turbo Timber SWS 2m BNF comes with motor, governor, servos and receiver installed. You complete the final assembly of the model using only screws – no glue or special tools. An ARF version without electronics and drive is also produced, but it is necessary to install all the necessary components.

Useful features

Like other Timber models, the Turbo Timber SWS is equipped with factory-installed realistic LED landing and navigation lights that are powered by a flight battery. And even though it's not a mockup, it has realistic see-through windows for a great look.

Unique abilities

Turbo Timber SWS 2.0m is based on the design of the very popular Turbo Timber 1.5m models. Thanks to its strong and rigid wooden construction, it achieves better performance and more precise controllability at high speed and acrobatic abilities. It is equipped with functional flaps for shorter take-off and landing, it has excellent low-speed flight characteristics and you also have the option of using the flaps for better STOL capabilities.

Versatile accessory

Thanks to the chassis made of aluminum with large wheels and the option to purchase floats, you can easily take off and land from various surfaces with the Turbo Timber SWS 2.0 m. The simple but durable aluminum chassis features oversized wheels with wide Tundra-style tires that absorb uneven surfaces. Plus, optional E-flite Carbon-Z floats (sold separately) and mounting kit (sold separately) make it easy to choose between wheels and floats depending on where you choose to fly!

AS3X™ stabilization

The Spektrum receiver is equipped with AS3X technology, which helps stabilize the model in flight. The receiver includes a three-axis MEMS gyro and accelerometer, and electronic stabilization simplifies model control e.g. in windy weather. The model reacts similarly to a much larger model and its flight is calm without maintaining its full controllability. AS3X brings more confidence in driving.

SAFE Select™ technology for beginners

Thanks to the SAFE Select technology used, the model can be driven even by a less experienced pilot . The SAFE system prevents oversteer when cornering and also limits climbs and descents. Simply releasing the controller's control sticks will return the model to level flight. These functions will be especially appreciated by novice pilots who are not yet fully confident in driving the models.

As the name SAFE Select itself suggests, this is an optional feature - it's up to you whether you want to use or disable SAFE technology. The pairing method determines whether the SAFE function should be turned on or off. It is also possible to turn off or turn on the SAFE function and the flight mode using a free channel of the transmitter.

Accessories for normal operation

For the normal operation of flying RC models, you need suitable adhesives, a set of tools and a storage case for LiPol batteries. From our assortment, we recommend a quality set of 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) will certainly come in handy for assembly, and for cutting a Modelcraft cutting knife with an A6 pad.

For quick repair of model airplanes, we recommend the fast-curing 4-minute Epoxy glue. From our offer, we recommend Speed Epoxy 4 min. 71g

Protective covers for accumulators

Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity. The LiPo battery is particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore needs to be thoroughly protected.
