The 1.1m wingspan Viper Jet EDF RC model airplane with blower has a range of suspensions and a more powerful drive. EPO construction, electric retractable undercarriage, finished paint. AS3X® and SAFE® Select features. Fully equipped model, transmitter and battery need to be added.
The new upgraded version features a more powerful Spektrum motor and 85A Avian Smart Lite controller for increased speed and vertical performance, plus provides real-time telemetry and thrust reversal via the AR631 receiver, along with undercarriage legs, shock absorbers and softer tires for easier landings! The Viper is an easy-to-control and excellent flying model that handles like a sports plane, but is capable of acrobatics and high-speed flight. But what really sets it apart is how easy it is to take off, fly and land, making it the BEST choice even for less experienced pilots. Assembly is quick and easy, without the use of glue or special tools. The EPO model's lightweight, composite-reinforced airframe is factory-finished in Aircraft Studio Design's now-iconic trim scheme with high-visibility paint. 8 installed digital servos with ball bearing metal gears provide precise control at every speed. Functional flaps and electric retractable landing gear with improved suspension legs and wheels with softer tires to suppress landing bounce make it the perfect first jet model for those upgrading from simpler EDF models.

The Viper Jet EDF BNF® Basic model features a balanced and installed 12-blade 70mm blower, adapted to the larger 1900Kv AC motor, and an 85A Avian Smart Lite controller, and has optimized air intake tunnels to the blower, giving the Viper more speed and thrust. With this more powerful drive, the Viper Jet now has even better vertical performance and about 10% faster speed than the previous version, making it capable of a maximum horizontal flight speed of up to 190 km/h and almost unlimited vertical performance with a 6S 3200mAh - 4000mAh LiPol battery. A Spektrum AR631 receiver with exclusive AS3X technology and optional SAFE Select technologies is installed. Using compatible AirWare-equipped transmitters, the Smart Lite receiver and controller deliver real-time telemetry data such as total battery voltage, current draw, engine speed and more, with both Smart and non-Smart batteries. With transmitter 7–8+ chan. you can also use the optional thrust reversal to shorten landing roll and for other special ground handling capabilities. All this contributes to the useful properties of the model.

The Viper Jet is a popular sports acrobatic American jet plane, which is often used as a model for modeling due to its elegant shapes. E-flite chose it as a template for the Viper Jet EDF model, with a 70mm blower drive, the construction is proven from very strong and light reinforced EPO material. The model has all components installed. A 12-blade blower with an AC high-speed 3060-1900Kv motor and an 85A Spektrum Avian Smart Lite controller, compatible with 6S LiPol batteries, was chosen for the drive. Also installed are digital servos with metal gears that control all rudders and flaps. The battery is under a large removable cover with a cabin in which there is a pilot figure. Thanks to the safety protection of the FASE Select flight envelope, the model is accessible even to less skilled pilots.

AS3X™ stabilization
The Spektrum receiver is equipped with AS3X technology, which helps stabilize the model in flight. The receiver contains a three-axis MEMS gyro and accelerometer and thanks to electronic stabilization simplifies driving the model , e.g. in windy weather. The model reacts similarly to a much larger model and its flight is calm without maintaining its full controllability. AS3X brings more confidence in driving.
SAFE Select™ technology for beginners
Thanks to the SAFE Select technology used, the model can be driven even by a less experienced pilot . The SAFE system prevents oversteer when cornering and also limits climbs and descents. Simply releasing the controller's control sticks will return the model to level flight. These functions will be especially appreciated by novice pilots who are not yet fully confident in driving the models.
As the name SAFE Select itself suggests, this is an optional feature - it's up to you whether you want to use or disable SAFE technology. The pairing method determines whether the SAFE function should be turned on or off. It is also possible to turn off or turn on the SAFE function and the flight mode using a free channel of the transmitter.
Advantages of the SAFE Select™ function:
- It limits the maximum tilts of the model and thus prevents the model from going into a corkscrew.
- Automatically puts the model into horizontal flight when the transmitter control sticks are released
- Using a free channel, the SAFE system can be turned off or on during flight.

SMART technology
The Viper Jet EDF 1.1m RC model airplane is equipped with a Spektrum Avian controller, which can provide a variety of real-time telemetry data, such as motor speed, current, battery voltage. With compatible Spektrum RC transmitters equipped with Spektrum AirWare™ (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, iX12, iX14 , iX20 and others), you can see this data on the transmitter display. The regulator also supports motor reversal.

Powerful blower
The 12-blade rotor of the 70mm blower, combined with the high-speed AC motor, 85A regulator and optional 6S 3200-4000mAh LiPol battery, has a very high thrust, therefore the model has an incredible speed range with practically instant throttle response. But what immediately catches everyone's attention is the amazing sound made by the blower - almost like a real turbine.

Retractable chassis
It wouldn't be a proper ride if it didn't have a retractable undercarriage! The model has a 3-wheel electrically retractable landing gear with a steerable bow leg already installed from the factory, which is an excellent choice for the model. The wide track of the wheels gives it high stability during taxiing and impeccable controllability not only during take-off but especially during landing.

Strong and light
The model is completely made in molds of solid and rigid EPO foam, which is strongly reinforced in important places. As a whole, the structure stands out for its very low weight and high rigidity, which is a basic prerequisite for an otherwise energy-intensive jet.

Unrivaled capabilities
The Viper Jet EDF 1.1m has almost unlimited vertical performance and aerobatic abilities, which also stand out thanks to a very elegant design. The speed range of the model is huge, from minimum on flaps to maximum at full throttle. In order to take advantage of these advantages, it is necessary to use high-quality LiPol batteries that can withstand a high current load. Batteries are not included in the package.

Skill 2 - Requires some experience
Skill level 2 aircraft such as the Viper Jet are suitable for RC pilots who already have some experience and skills to build, set up and fly models of a similar class. And although this BNF Basic version is equipped with AS3X and the optional SAFE Select feature, which makes it easier to fly than the PNP version, it is not the first suitable RC aircraft for new pilots or the first EDF (Electric Ducted Fan) model for intermediate pilots. You should have the experience and skills to successfully fly the simpler EDF models such as the E-flite Habu SS (Super Sport) 50mm or 70mm or the more powerful sport models before attempting to fly the Viper 70mm EDF.

Accessories for normal operation
For the normal operation of flying RC models, you need suitable adhesives, a set of tools and a storage case for LiPol batteries. From our assortment, we recommend a quality set of 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) will surely come in handy for assembly and Modelcraft cutting knife with A6 pad for cutting.

Protective covers for accumulators
Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity. The LiPo battery is particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore needs to be thoroughly protected.
