EXB components (EXtreme Bash)

EXB strength components on a completely assembled chassis give the RC model car ARRMA® OUTCAST ™ EXtreme Bash Stunt Truck Roller the necessary durability and strength. The unique design of the chassis is underlined by laser-etched graphics with the Arrma logo.

Steel turnbuckles

Strength components such as 7mm steel steering tensioners and 8mm rear steel tensioners allow the OUTCAST-EXB 1: 5 scale to withstand extreme field stress.

Large oil dampers

The heart of the suspension are massive oil dampers with a diameter of 20 mm and a larger shaft with a diameter of 6 mm. The bodies of the shock absorbers are made of aluminum and easily absorb unevenness for shock absorption.

High traction dBoots® tires

Long-lasting dBoots® Back-Flip tires on multi-spoke wheels with durable aluminum hubs provide the car with excellent traction in any terrain and safely transmit engine power. The tires are glued to the discs with a star motif, the secure mounting of the wheel is ensured by a 24 mm carrier.

Quick access to the engine

ARRMA® strives to keep the time required for your maintenance to a minimum, thanks to the efficient design of the motor assembly. This easily accessible sliding motor holder with three screws allows quick removal of the motor and its necessary maintenance after driving.

Electronics module

Outcast XBS is designed so that all parts and components are easily accessible. Individual modular parts, such as the motor bed or the electronics module, can be easily removed. The electronics module contains a waterproof receiver box, a servo holder and a controller board.

Reinforcements of the central part of the chassis

Protection against bending of the chassis made of robust 5mm anodized aluminum 7075 T6 even in case of extremely strong impacts, is provided by transverse and central reinforcements made of anodized aluminum. For easy service, the reinforcements are secured with clips and can be easily removed

Durable steel components

The model has a solid construction of the drive mechanism, which to be completely made of steel, all rotating parts are mounted in ball bearings. Metal half-axles, massive gearbox and differential gearing. Durable steel drive shafts plus all-metal differentials and steel transmission components ensure reliable engine power is transmitted to the wheels.

Recommended batteries

Operate the model on two identical 4S LiPo batteries (14.8V).

• For normal riding LiPo batteries Spectrum 14.8 At 5000 mAh with Smart technology
• For normal driving with longer operating time LiPo batteries Black Magic14.8 V 6500 mAh.
• LiPo batteries with maximum current Spectrum 14.8 V 5000 mAh with Smart technology. The RC car can only be operated on flat surfaces, such as asphalt, concrete.

Recommended chargers for conventional and Smart batteries

If you decide to use modern Smart LiPo batteries in the RC model of the Arrma car, then we recommend this charger:

• Mains charger Spektrum S2100 with two outputs 2x 100 W
• Mains charger Spektrum S1100 with one output 1x 100 W

To connect the battery to these chargers, you need an IC5 / IC3 charging adapter.

• High-performance mains charger Spektrum Smart G2 charger S1400 1x400W AC with one 400W output.
• High-performance mains charger Spektrum Smart G2 charger S2200 2x200W AC with two 2x200W outputs.

Accessories for normal operation

For normal operation of an RC car, you need tire glue, screw glue, a set of tools and silicone oil for the shock absorbers. From our range we recommend an affordable set of tools for RC cars.

The tire glue adheres the tires to the rim of the disc. It is always necessary for the tire to be firmly glued to the wheel rim around the entire circumference! If the tire is not stuck around the entire circumference, it may rupture. The tire adhesive has a special composition that is able to bond materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, after hardening, the adhesive is flexible. Occasionally it is necessary to add silicone oil to the model's shock absorbers and change the oil in the differentials. During normal operation, there is only a slight leakage of silicone oil along the shock absorber piston rods. If the surface of the shock absorber piston rods or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage can be large. For these cases, repair kits or individual parts are supplied. Screw adhesive is required for routine maintenance. Screws screwed into the metal material (eg screws in the motor, set screw in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this adhesive.

Protective covers for batteries

Protective covers are designed to reduce the risk associated with transporting and charging batteries. LiPo batteries can, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity for long travel times. On the contrary, the LiPo battery is prone mainly to mechanical damage.
