The Cast Telemetry Link Spectrum Telemetry Adapter is used to convert the Castle Live Link protocol to the Spectrum XBUS protocol. Thanks to this converter, Spectrum RC owners without external sensors can measure power supply, engine speed, and much more.
The advantage is that no additional sensors are needed for the telemetry data provided by the controller. Entire engagement is easier, clearer, and more reliable. Last but not least, the weight of the model will be reduced.
How does the Telemetry Link Spectrum XBUS telemetry work?
Telemetry Castle Link Telemetry Link XBUS Spectrum connects to the XBUS port and the controller. The telemetry adapter transmits the signal from the receiver output to the controller and simultaneously reads the telemetry data and sends it to the Spectrum XBUS bus to which the telemetry sensors are connected.
Data provided
- Controller power supply voltage: You can see the voltage of the power battery on the display of your Spectrum transmitter. You can check this quantity during the flight or you can set the alarm to safely land the model
- Battery Current: Battery current is measured on the resistance shunt that is part of the power section of the controller. This parameter is not available for all controllers.
- Engine power: Percentage of current engine power is displayed.
- Engine Speed: Engine speed plays an important role in controlling propeller propulsion.
- BEC voltage: The controller provides information on the BEC supply voltage. If you have a multi-branch model, you do not need additional sensors.
- BEC current: The controller provides information on current flowing BEC. This parameter is not available for all controllers.
- Regulator temperature: You can display the temperature of the controller. Thanks to this, you can optimize the load on the controller (eg choosing the right propeller or optimizing airflow cooling
- Ripple Supply: This parameter measures the ripple of battery power. this value is higher, the higher the internal resistance of the battery or conductor, which leads to higher battery heating.
