The Traxxas Slash is a 1:10 RC car model with a 2WD drive that travels at speeds of up to 30 mph. It is fully assembled and ready to ride right out of the box. It is powered by a powerful Titan 550 12T DC motor with an XL-5 regulator. The simple Traxxas TQ 2.4 GHz RC kit provides precise mechanics for precise control. It includes a NiMH battery and a modern USB-C charger for safe and carefree operation. New to the model is a clipless body mount system for easy battery replacement and factory installed Extreme Heavy Duty suspension elements for high durability.
The model has a carefully tuned chassis with independent suspension, thanks to which it can easily cope with various surfaces such as asphalt, low grass and more demanding terrain. For riding in a wet environment, the model has waterproof* electronics.
The regulator with three driving modes guarantees fun for adults and children thanks to the possibility of limiting the power to 50%. Of course, a wide range of tuning parts is available, including complete spare parts.
Factory installed Extreme Heavy Duty suspension and drivetrain components are made from the toughest materials Traxxas uses. Front and rear weights with steering elements are reinforced and have a stronger construction.
The unique system of fastening the body with the help of beaks in the wheel arches, allows quick and easy replacement of the battery, and the clean appearance of the model is not disturbed by the clips. Robust latches hold the body firmly in place no matter how rough the ride. In addition, the body is attached to the frame with a larger area and there is no risk of it cracking.
The rigidity of the chassis is ensured by the proven construction of fiber-filled nylon. Thanks to this, the model is light, excellently manoeuvrable and at the same time resistant to impact. The long wheelbase and higher ground clearance ensure stability and good cross-country ability. Integrated side braces help absorb energy in a side impact.
High-lift oil shocks use dual X-rings for perfect sealing and perfect running. The robust design combined with a high oil volume can absorb even hard impacts in difficult terrain. You can tune the dampers to your liking by adjusting the springs and changing the viscosity of the oil.
Race-tuned progressive springs are densely wound on the edges and sparsely wound in the center. Despite small bumps, the springs easily compress and keep the wheel in contact with the surface, while the coarser part of the shock absorber works in case of a strong impact.
The gearbox, disc clutch and planetary differential are enclosed in one compact unit. A friction clutch transmission reliably transmits engine power to the axles, the Magnum 272™ planetary differential has gears made of hardened steel. This system requires absolutely minimal maintenance. There are pinions and sprockets with different numbers of teeth, so you can fine-tune the model for both speed and technical tracks.
The Revo Spec Torque Control friction clutch ensures smooth power transmission and is adjustable. A properly set amount of slip protects the drive train, while not reducing the acceleration of the model.
The mechanics of turning the front wheels is realized by means of the Bell-Crank system, which ensures the precise movement of the rods to the wheels. The steering has an integrated servo-saver that absorbs shocks and protects the servo against overload.
Adjustable steel wheel suspension links enable individual tuning of the suspension geometry and thereby changing driving characteristics for specific conditions. The model thus offers amazing variability!
The model is equipped with SCT Split-Spoke wheels with 2.2/3” imitation Beadlock ring and BFGoodrich® Mud-Terrain™ T/A® tires with excellent grip. The driver is a 12 mm hexagon.
Digital Traxxas servo 2075 high-torque waterproof with DC motor and nylon gears has a torque of 9.0 kg.cm and a speed of 0.17 s/60°@ 6.0 V. For water resistance*, the servo box and the output 1000 edges are fitted with seals. Two ball bearings provide very smooth operation.
The car model is equipped with a modified Titan series 550 12T DC motor. The motor has 30% more power than conventional 540 motors. The rotor at the back of the motor contains a propeller that blows air into the motor and effectively cools it.
Waterproof* Traxxas XL-5 electronic controller with three driving modes, support for modern high-capacity LiPo batteries and easy control with the EZ-Set™ button. The XL-5 controller is equipped with a training mode that limits full throttle to 50%. Thanks to this, novice drivers or children can gradually familiarize themselves with the features of the model and prepare for the full power of the car. Thermal protection, gold-plated connectors and incredibly low internal resistance are the currency of this regulator.
The model is controlled by a two-channel proportional steering wheel RC radio Traxxas TQ, working in the 2.4 GHz band - operation without interference. The transmitter is powered by only 4 AA cells.
There is a rotary knob on the transmitter that trims the steering (so that the model goes straight if the steering wheel is in the center position). The status of the batteries in the transmitter is indicated by an LED. Reverse can be set on the transmitter on the throttle and steering channels.
The Traxxas TQ 2.4 GHz three-channel receiver ensures safe driving without interruptions. Easy pairing with one button. Status indication by means of an LED diode.
The package includes a NiMH battery and a modern fully automatic 40W USB-C charger. The charger allows you to charge 6 to 7 cell NiMH batteries with a charging current of up to 4 A.
The USB-C charger can be powered by any USB adapter and connected with a USB-C cable. However, for full charging performance, it is necessary to choose suitable components, see recommended accessories.

To operate the model, it is necessary to add 4x AA batteries for the transmitter. We recommend powering the USB-C charger with a powerful USB adapter.
Powering the USB-C charger from the mains requires a USB adapter and a USB-C cable for connection (adapter and cable are not included in the package). In order to use the maximum charging power, it is necessary to choose sufficiently dimensioned components. We recommend:
To extend the driving time, we recommend purchasing an additional battery. For normal riding and for children, we recommend buying one more identical NiMH battery, which is included in the package. For maximum driving time and higher performance, you can use modern LiPo batteries. If you use different types of accumulators, it is always necessary to set the type of the connected accumulator on the controller!
Traxxas universal chargers can charge Traxxas LiPo and NiMH batteries. (The charger included in the package is intended only for the NiMH type battery that is included in the package.) Traxxas chargers are a simple and safe way to charge batteries. Traxxas uses the unique iD system , so you're always sure to connect everything easily and safely. For normal operation of the Traxxas RC car, you need bolt glue, good quality tire glue, silicone shock oil and a set of screwdrivers. We recommend an affordable set of tools for cars from our range.
The thread or head of the screw is dripped with screw glue, which fixes it and the vibrations caused by driving prevent the screw connection from loosening. The screw adhesive has a special composition that allows the screw connection to be easily loosened with an adequate torque without damaging the screw head. Never use ordinary instant glue, it might be impossible to loosen a screw stuck like this!
Tire glue is used to glue the tires to the disc rim. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued to the wheel rim all the way around! If the tire is not glued all the way around, it may tear. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, after hardening, the glue is flexible. Never use ordinary instant glue - it is not flexible after hardening and would gradually create cracks in the tire around the rims!
Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the dampers of the model. During normal operation, there are only slight leaks of silicone oil on the piston rods of the shock absorber. In the event that the surface of the damper pistons or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage may be large. For these cases, so-called repair kits are supplied. In the range of tuning parts, piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating are delivered to all shock absorbers. Piston rods with a TiN surface are easily recognized by their golden-green color.
