Losi Moto-MX 1:4 RTR Pro Circuit

PATENTED SPEKTRUM MS6X TECHNOLOGY

The new Spektrum DX3PM transmitter and SR6300PM receiver combine with patented MS6X technology for a whole new type of control. Thanks to this technology, Promoto-MX riders can dynamically go through corners at high and low speeds and jump on jumps like real motocross bikes.

DRIVING MODES

The DX3PM has three pre-programmed riding modes that you can switch between at will while riding with the rocker switch on the transmitter.

• Dirt mode – suitable for driving off-road and on grass. This mode has wheel slip protection to prevent rollover when re-traction and acceleration.
  
• Street Mode — suitable for driving on hard flat surfaces. In this mode, the electronics detects the rising front tire and ensures maximum acceleration with appropriate interventions.
  
• Wheelie Control Mode — suitable for driving on hard flat surfaces. The mode allows you to keep the wheels on a smooth surface up to the highest speed.
  

SMART TECHNOLOGY

The model is equipped with components with Spektrum Smart technology, which offers more information about the model, easier operation and battery care. All SMART components, including batteries, are capable of communicating with each other and transmitting telemetry.
The included DX3PM transmitter displays the state of charge of the Smart battery in the model using an LED on the top.
As tuning, you can display complete telemetry (revs, speed, temperature and more) using a universal Spektrum transmitter with a display, e.g. DX5C or DX5 Pro.

FLYWHEEL UNIT

The gyroscopic angular momentum to keep the bike balanced is created by a rotating steel flywheel at a speed of more than 22,000 rpm. The flywheel unit with the 2700kv motor and electronics is mounted in the frame as low and as far forward as possible.

SUPPORT SIDE WHEELS

don't worry if the front tire loses grip and rides on dirt. Slim side bars with wheels are ready. They prevent the model from exceeding its maximum bank angle, while helping to balance the bank when exiting a turn.
The bars include a stop for adjustment to different surfaces. Wheels also help with accident recovery. If the rear tire is on the ground, just step on the gas!

SERVO-SAVER STEERING

Rigid servo-saver springs with bearing-mounted composite plates provide consistent steering with high servo-protecting capability. But that's not all servo-saver, it also drastically improves performance when cornering, jumping and going over bumps.

HANDLEBAR HEAD SHOCK ABSORBER

For perfect tuning and driving experience, the key element of the model is the chamber between the upper and lower bearing of the headset, filled with very thick oil with a viscosity of 500,000 cSt. This enables excellent damping of the servo-saver and reduces head vibrations.

COMPLETE ELECTRONICS

The model is directly crammed with electronics - AC speed controller, powerful motor, receiver, flywheel unit and steering servos and front brakes.

NARROW CHASSIS

In order to capture the right look, the bike's electronics and battery had to fit into a compact, narrow chassis. Despite the cramped conditions in the chassis, the bed for the battery in the rider's saddle allows the use of a standard 2S LiPo 5000mAh battery.

REALISTIC RIDER FIGURE

The rider figure is realistically rendered, including boots, helmet, gloves and all motocross gear. The figure of the rider is unlike the others, made of rubberized plastic with an inner foam insert. This composition ensures high resistance and a rider that is strong, but at the same time flexible enough on impact.

LICENSED DUNLOP GEOMAX MX53 TIRES

The RC Moto-MX is equipped with an officially licensed replica of Dunlop tires, the Geomax MX53. These tires, like the original, provide high grip and long tire life.

REPLICA CYCLE

Realistic wheels with real spokes are another first for the Promoto-MX model. Losi designers have created proper looking spoked wheels with the necessary motocross durability like no one before them.

LICENSED GRAPHICS FOR CIRCUIT

The Losi brand has teamed up with the highly successful Pro Circuit supercross team to create officially licensed graphics for the Moto-MX model. Since 1991, the Pro Circuit team has had the strongest team on the AMA Supercross circuit.

STANDING OUT AND STARTING STAND

The included stand for maintenance and display is modeled after the real stand, complete with graphics. Also included in the package is a kickstand that holds the rear tire and the entire bike upright for a pit-style start.

HOOD WITH GRAPHICS

Big or small, no motocross machine would look good without some decent graphics. The Promoto-MX has all the goods - front fender, license plate, fork guards, front side panel, rear side panel and rear fender - all looking freshly wrapped in officially licensed vinyl graphics, but highly durable and ready to get dirty.

REALISTIC DETAILS

The model is detailed down to the last detail, such as the brake and clutch lever, exhaust, etc.

FRONT BUMP STRUCTURE

The front crash structure is stiff during normal driving, but compresses in the event of an impact to absorb energy. This protects the front fork tubes and other components from bending and damage.

REAR FENDER

A conventional hard-mounted rear fender wouldn't last long on the model, so the Promoto-MX has a drop-down rear fender with elastomeric suspension that can be deflected when riding the rear wheel to engage the durable nylon rear bumper underneath.

SLIDING PLATES AND AIR HOLES

Composite skid plates line the front and bottom of the Promotion-MX chassis. They offer impact protection, helping to protect the electronics mounted inside. The vents on each side of the wheel are sealed but can be opened to allow cooling air to flow when ambient temperatures are high.

ALUMINUM PLATES CHASSIS

Dual aluminum chassis plates protect all electronics and help give the Promoto-MX a realistically narrow appearance. They also provide the necessary rigidity and resistance to the frame.

REAR SUSPENSION

Like the big bikes, the Promoto-MX has a rear suspension with increasing stiffness. The suspension is soft around maximum ride height for smooth handling and excellent grip. When springing, it becomes more rigid so that the rear wheel does not come to a stop. Combined with an oil-filled coil-over shock absorber, the RC motorcycle is ready for any surface.

FRONT FORK

The front fork of the Promoto-MX has a new modern design with an internal spring and shock absorber. The front fork tubes are designed to work similar to regular RC shocks, they can be tuned by changing the viscosity of the oil. By means of oppositely coiled springs, the spacers can also be used to adjust the clear heights. And perhaps most importantly, they look amazing – just like the real thing.

CORRECT HEAD ANGLE

After months of testing various, the development team of the Promoto-MX product found the best head tube angle setting of 62.4 degrees, for the best ride balance on both off-road and on-road courses.

POWERFUL AC DRIVE

The Promoto-MX is equipped with a high performance drive system with a 3652 3800kv 4-pole AC motor and an 85A controller. This ensures high torque and brutal acceleration and speeds of up to 65 km/h.

FUNCTIONAL FRONT BRAKE

The engine can handle rear braking via the drivetrain, but as with 1:1 bikes, most of the stopping power goes to the front tire. A steel disc front brake and bowden servo controlled brake pads are used to slow down the Promoto-MX. This cuts your stopping distance in half.

RACING SLIPPER CLUTCH

As the engine delivers high power, a racing-inspired dual-disc slipper clutch is used. The clutch protects the drive train, but at the same time does not limit the brutal performance.

REALISTIC CHAIN DRIVE

Steel links and 70 roller pins wrap around a 10-tooth steel drive sprocket and 36-tooth aluminum hub sprocket. Regardless of the conditions, the chain drive will drive the rear tire efficiently and reliably.

READY TO DRIVE

The package contains everything you need to drive, including a transmitter and a drive battery with a USB charger.

Recommended chargers

To shorten the charging time and to be able to charge all types of batteries, including conventional (not Smart), we recommend using universal chargers with a power of at least 50 W.

Accessories for normal operation

For the normal operation of RC models, you need tire glue, screw glue, a tool kit and silicone shock oil. We recommend an affordable tool kit for RC cars from our range.

Tire glue is used to glue the tires to the disc rim. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly stuck to the wheel rim all the way around! If the tire is not glued all the way around, it may tear. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, after hardening, the glue is flexible. We recommend Robitronic Tire Glue from our offer - see recommended accessories.

Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the shock absorbers of the model and change the oil in the differentials. During normal operation, there are only slight leaks of silicone oil on the piston rods of the shock absorber. In the event that the surface of the damper pistons or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage may be large. Repair kits or individual parts are supplied for these cases. For routine maintenance, screw glue is needed. Screws screwed into the metal material (e.g. screws in the motor, set screw in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this glue.

Protective covers for accumulators

Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators can, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity for a long driving time. Conversely, the LiPo battery is especially susceptible to mechanical damage.
