    Characteristics


    The Axial SCX10 III Base Camp Rock Crawler RC car model in 1:10 scale with 4x4 drive is designed for all fans of off-road expedition driving, overcoming obstacles and rock trials, who are mainly looking for excellent driving characteristics, without the need for additional functions and at a bargain price. The latest SCX10 III chassis has been lightened from other superstructures to leave only a pure chassis. A single-speed gearbox and portal axles are used. The front axle includes an Overdrive for better maneuverability and vertical climbing. New oil shock absorbers and shock towers allow for greater adjustment options. Also new is the battery storage for weight distribution, sliding lower panels and a body fixed without interfering clips.

    The advantage of the model is the chassis with steel C-shaped profiles , which minimize chassis deflection and torsion. The chassis is fully equipped with ball bearings for smooth operation. Portal axles provide sufficient ground clearance for easy maneuvering in the terrain. The gears are metal on the drivetrain for high durability. The single-speed LCXU transmission safely transfers power to 4 wheels. Excellent suspension is provided by oil-filled shock absorbers for authentic characteristics. The model is equipped with licensed Maxxis Trepado tires with two-stage foam inserts and KMC Grenade discs. The narrow body slips between obstacles and allows sufficient space for tires and suspension travel.







    The Axial Coyote 4WD is factory assembled and includes reliable Spektrum electronics - a powerful 540 35T DC motor, powered by a 40A Firma controller. The steering is equipped with a waterproof* servo with metal gears. The RC kit includes a 2-channel SLT2 transmitter and an installed 5-channel receiver with SLT and DSMR protocols, which allows for easy pairing with universal Spektrum transmitters. To operate the model, you only need to add a 2-3S LiPo battery with an EC3 or IC3 connector and a suitable charger.

    SCX10™ III Chassis

    The model is equipped with a chassis reinforced with C-shaped steel profiles, which are connected by transverse stiffeners. This increases the overall rigidity of the model, minimizing bending and twisting. This achieves precise steering, which is important for overcoming obstacles in trials riding.

    Portal axles AR45

    The included AR45P portal axles provide increased ground clearance for better off-road capability. The portal gearbox also increases torque.

    Overdrive

    The front axle is equipped with overdrive. Imagine you are driving up a steep hill and the model is leaning. This transfers weight to the rear wheels and increases their traction relative to the front. And of course, the steeper the model is leaning, the closer it is to the tipping point. Adding more gas will transfer even more weight to the rear tires, increasing their traction even more, leaving very little grip for the front. The higher front axle speed helps to pull the model up the hill and over obstacles, instead of just being pushed by the rear axle.

    Single-speed transmission LCXU

    The model is equipped with a single-speed LCXU gearbox with metal gears and a low center of gravity. It is equipped with complete ball bearings, ensuring smooth operation and long service life.

    Pro-line Coyote bodywork

    The painted polycarbonate Coyote body designed by Pro-Line offers more than just a trail and race-ready look. It installs without clips and can be completely removed for easy access to the chassis. The body is shaped to slide over obstacles and provides ample clearance for tires and suspension.

    KMC Grenade wheels and Maxxis tires

    Officially licensed Maxxis Trepador tires from Coyote deliver a realistic look and high climbing performance. The integrated foam inserts in the wheels are two-stage, open-cell, with a soft outer foam and a firm inner foam for better grip and sidewall support. The KMC Grenade wheels feature a one-piece lightweight and durable construction.

    Coil-over oil shock absorbers

    The shock absorbers are oil-filled for authentic performance and handling like a real car. They are inspired by professional shock absorbers with ideal stiffness.

    Optimized geometry

    The SCX10™ III's front suspension geometry is optimized to reduce bump steer, while the rear 4-link suspension minimizes torque-induced torsional torsion under acceleration. The suspension uses 6mm stainless steel links and ball joints.

    Motor and controller

    The drive system consists of an Axial Slickrock 35T DC motor and a waterproof* Spektrum 40A ESC. With this simple and reliable system, you'll spend more time on the trails and less time doing maintenance.

    RC kit

    The RC kit with the SLT2 transmitter and SR515 receiver provides reliable control in the 2.4 GHz band. All basic functions can be set on the transmitter: throttle and steering trim, maximum control channel deflection limitation, reverse, engine power limiter 50%, 75% and 100%. The receiver can also be used with universal Spektrum transmitters with a display and with multiple channels, such as the Spektrum DX6C, DX6 Rugged, DX5 Pro or iXSR.
