Characteristics
The small RC aircraft model Viper 30mm in ultra-micro size (UMX) with a wingspan of 0.53m is a scaled-down version of the extremely popular Viper 64mm, 70mm and 90mm models. It offers a unique experience of flying a jet model that is unmatched by any other model in its class. The model has a scale model appearance and jet performance, which it combines with the flight performance of propeller-driven low-wing models. Thanks to this, the Viper UMX will be appreciated by both less experienced pilots for its smooth flight and experienced pilots for performing demanding aerobatics, for which they will have an abundance of power thanks to the 4S drive. The smaller size also allows for flight in more places and in smaller spaces.

The lightweight airframe is reinforced with composite and is made in the iconic Aircraft Studio Design color scheme. For final assembly, all you need to do is attach the wing and secure it with the rotary locking mechanism. LED lights on the wings add authenticity to the fighter and help with better orientation of the model's position. Smart Spektrum electronics in the model offer a variety of benefits. With a compatible transmitter (sold separately), you will have a variety of telemetric data available - battery voltage, temperature, rpm and more. The electronic stabilization system AS3X and SAFE are also installed. AS3X smooths out the effects of wind and turbulence for a smoother flight, and the optional SAFE system offers invaluable flight assistance functions for less experienced pilots.
With the fixed landing gear, you can take off and land on a smooth surface, for better taxiing options the nose wheel is controlled. Or you can dismantle the landing gear and take off by hand, with the automatic Hand Launch Assist mode helping you. You can then land in the grass on your belly. All this makes the model a highly versatile affordable RC airplane.

Skill Level 2 – Requires some experience
Aircraft with skill level 2, such as this model, are suitable for RC pilots who already have some experience and skills in assembling, setting up and flying models of a similar class. You should have experience with larger models such as the E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1m, Valiant 1.3m, Timber 1.5m, or other EDF models such as the E-flite Habu SS (Super Sport) 50mm or 70mm.

Bind-N-Fly Version
Do you already own a Spektrum™ RC transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft are ready to fly. The motor, servos, and Spektrum 2.4 GHz controller are installed. So all you need to do is pair the model with your compatible transmitter, complete the final assembly, and fly. (Transmitter, battery and charger sold separately).

Control unit
The Viper EDF 0.53m model is equipped with a control unit that includes a 2-in-1 controller with a Spektrum receiver that provides real-time battery voltage and other telemetry with compatible Spektrum AirWare-equipped transmitters (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6 to NX20, iX12 to iX20 and more).
High Performance
The factory-installed propulsion system features a 30mm blower with a powerful (4S) outrunner brushless motor. This propulsion system configuration provides the highest performance ever achieved in E-flite's UMX/ultra-micro single-engine jet aircraft!

Quick Assembly
The Viper aircraft is almost fully factory-assembled out of the box! Simply install the one-piece wing with hands-free connector connection. Secure the wing quickly and easily with a quarter-turn locking screw. The 4S LiPo 450mAh IC2 battery (sold separately) can be easily inserted into the compartment through the large top cover.

Construction
The model is faithfully processed and factory-finished in a unique color scheme from Aircraft Studio Design. The realism is enhanced by a mock-up bust of the pilot and functional LED landing and navigation lights. The model's lightweight composite EPS airframe is easily repaired using foam adhesives, and in case of major damage, spare parts are available.

Removable landing gear
You can use the included fixed landing gear with a steerable nose wheel for taxiing, takeoff and landing on a smooth surface. Or you can remove the landing gear and launch it by hand, using the automatic Hand Launch Assist mode and eventually landing on the grass.

AS3X™ stabilization
The model is equipped with a control unit with AS3X technology, which helps stabilize the model in flight. The receiver contains a three-axis MEMS gyro and accelerometer, and thanks to electronic stabilization, the simplifies the control of the model even of small models and allows their operation, for example, in turbulence or windy weather. The model reacts similarly to a much larger model and its flight is calm, without maintaining its full controllability. AS3X brings more confidence in control.
SAFE Select™ technology for beginners
Thanks to the SAFE Select technology used, even a less experienced pilot can control the model. The SAFE system prevents over-banking in turns and also limits climb and descent. By simply releasing the controller's control sticks to neutral, the model returns to horizontal flight. These functions will be appreciated especially by pilots who are not yet fully confident in controlling models.
As the name SAFE Select suggests, this is an optional function - it is up to you whether you want to use or disable SAFE technology. The SAFE function can be turned on or off even during flight using the transmitter via a switch on a free channel.

Accessories for normal operation
For normal operation of flying RC models, you need suitable adhesives, a tool kit and a storage bag for LiPo batteries. From our range, we recommend a quality set of 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm Allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) will certainly come in handy for assembly and Modelcraft cutting knife with A6 washer for cutting.
For quick repairs of aircraft models, we recommend fast-curing 4-minute Epoxy glue. From our offer, we recommend Speed Epoxy 4 min. 71g

Protective packaging for batteries
Protective packaging is designed to reduce the risk associated with transporting and charging batteries. LiPo batteries can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity while maintaining small dimensions and low weight. LiPo batteries are particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore need to be thoroughly protected.
