Characteristics
One of the best selling RC model aircraft Timber X 1.2m is now available as a 570mm wingspan Timber X micro model. It combines STOL capabilities with a unique wing design with large rudders. A unique 3D performance of a versatile model with the abilities of an acrobatic special! AS3X and SAFE Select functions.
The UMX Timber X is a scaled-down Ultra-micro version of the popular larger Timber X 1.2m model, which is one of the most requested models in E-flite history. Very light design for STOL flying with large wheels for short take off and landing, large rudders for high maneuverability and 3S compatible power supply all provide an even wider flight envelope. Additionally, the UMX Timber X is equipped with LED landing, navigation and strobe lights , and the model's electronics provide real-time battery voltage and other telemetry data to compatible Spektrum transmitters. Thanks to its Ultra-Micro size, the UMX Timber X can be flown outdoors in parks and meadows or even indoors in gyms and other suitable spaces. Install the optional floats (sold separately) and you can take off from pools, ponds and lakes. It's a great choice for a wide range of intermediate to advanced pilots and offers both a relaxed calm and wild flying experience that no other model in this category can match!

Bind-N-Fly® model airplane kits are a great choice because you get a completely finished model out of the box, just add a drive battery and pair the in-model receiver with your transmitter. Telemetry options
The UMX Timber X RC model aircraft is equipped with a control unit that includes a Spektrum receiver with a regulator that provides real-time flight battery voltage telemetry to compatible Spektrum transmitters (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, iX12, iX20).
Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select
Ultra-Micro Timber® X features exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. The AS3X stabilization works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence and give the feeling of a locked-in flight level. The optional use of SAFE® Select flight envelope protection offers pitch and bank angle limits along with automatic stabilization that can be turned on and off with a switch to make flying easier!
Great maneuverability and handling
Compared to the UMX Turbo Timber, the UMX Timber X has a wing design with a smaller span and much greater aileron depth across the entire span, which can also be used as flaperons - along with increased elevator and rudder. At low speeds the controls are smooth and obedient, or at high speeds it provides eXtreme 3D capabilities so you can fly like a recreational lay-by model or a predatory acrobat, choose and set the flight capabilities to your liking.
Powerful AC 3S motor
Want to hang with your model, float on a propeller and then accelerate up into the clouds? Thanks to the power of the AC drive and the 3S LiPol power supply, you will be able to use the excess power for acrobatics and 3D flying.
STOL (short takeoff and landing)
The wing has a smaller span and at the same time a larger wing area than the previous UMX Timber. Additionally, it has full-span ailerons that can be used as flaperons with flaps for slow flight and STOL performance. These features, along with a lightweight construction and high-performance AC motor, allow it to jump into the air or hover and land at shorter distances than any other model in its class.
Versatility of model use
Fly over surfaces that most models of this size can't handle like grass, gravel and dirt roads and more. Oversized Tundra-style wheels absorb bumps and provide excellent traction. With optional floats (EFLUA1190, sold separately), you can even fly from pools, ponds and lakes!
LED lighting
Like the UMX™ Turbo Timber, the UMX Timber X comes with factory-installed realistic-looking LED landing, navigation and strobe lights that are powered by a flight battery.
Assembled and ready to fly
The UMX Timber X features top-of-the-line Spektrum™ 2.4GHz technology that pairs with your Spektrum DSMX®/DSM2® 5+ channel transmitter so you can be flying within minutes of opening the box or charging the battery (not included).
Solid construction
The construction of EPS material is very suitable for wet model airplanes, because it can be made a light and durable kite. If you damage any part of the airframe beyond repair, there are a number of spare parts available.
SAFE technology
Take advantage of the exclusive AS3X 3-axis stabilization technology and the ability to activate the SAFE™ (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) flight envelope protection, which increases flight safety for novice pilots. No programming is required, simply remove the pairing connector during model pairing according to the instructions in the manual. The SAFE function ensures the limitation of the flight envelope and ensures the extreme flight limits.
Selecting SAFE activates:
- The limit of tilt, climb and descent will not allow excessive climb and drag, for example at the start or greater tilt in a corner
- Auto-leveling will immediately return the model to level flight when the control levers are released to neutral

For commissioning you need a Spektrum DSM2/DSMX transmitter, a 3S 11.1V 280-350mAh LiPol drive battery with a JST connector Spektrum LiPo 11.1V 300mAh 30C JST and a compatible charger Spektrum Smart charger S150 1x50W AC + Spektrum conversion cable IC3 device - JST.

Accessories for normal operation
For the normal operation of flying RC models, you need suitable adhesives, a set of tools and a storage case for LiPol batteries. From our assortment, we recommend a quality set of 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) will surely come in handy for assembly and Modelcraft cutting knife with A6 pad for cutting.
For quick repair of model airplanes, we recommend the fast-curing 4-minute Epoxy glue. From our offer, we recommend Speed Epoxy 4 min. 71g
Protective covers for accumulators
Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity. The LiPo battery is particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore needs to be thoroughly protected.
