Indoor micro RC model of the UMX Eratix 0.45m aircraft, based on the popular larger Eratix FF model, which, thanks to its smaller dimensions, allows flying in more places and in even smaller spaces, including interiors such as garages or larger rooms. The lightweight and rigid construction of coated flat foam parts (Flat Foamy) reinforced with carbon offers aggressive 3D acrobatic and at the same time smooth sporty and slow flight performance.
The model is fully assembled from the factory with an installed powerful brushless motor, linear servos and a control unit with the option of powering 2S LiPo 280-350 mAh. The model's electronics include AS3X flight stabilization and SAFE Select. Additionally, the electronics provide battery voltage information and other telemetry data to compatible transmitters. This makes it an ideal all-round model for indoor and outdoor flying (in calm weather) for a wide range of intermediate pilots.
Skill Level 2 aircraft, such as this model, are suitable for RC pilots who already have some experience setting up and flying models of a similar class. Before flying the UMX Eratix 3D FF 450mm BNF model, you should have experience with ultra-micro models such as the UMX Timber or the larger E-flite Eratix 3D FF 860mm, T-28 Trojan 1.1m, Valiant 1.3m, Timber 1.5m.
Already own a Spektrum™ RC transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft are ready to fly. The motor with controller and servos are installed. So just pair the receiver (control unit) in the model with your compatible transmitter and fly (transmitter, battery and charger sold separately).
This UMX Eratix 3D FF 450mm model is equipped with Spektrum's exclusive AS3X and SAFE Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence. Optional SAFE Select technology offers bank angle limitation and auto-leveling, making this FF (Flat Foamy) model the easiest to fly yet!
The RC model's control unit includes a Spektrum controller and receiver, which provides real-time battery voltage telemetry to compatible Spektrum AirWare transmitters (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6 to NX20, iX12 to iX20, and more) during flight.
The installed outrunner brushless motor is specially tuned and includes a unique design for propeller protection. This propulsion system provides enough thrust for unlimited vertical and 3D performance with 2S LiPo 280–350 mAh batteries!
Like other models with flat foam parts, the UMX Eratix is capable of slow, smooth sport flying, basic aerobatics and even aggressive 3D flying - all in one flight! It offers a truly “mild to wild” flight experience that intermediate to experienced pilots will appreciate, whether flying indoors in living rooms, garages and gyms, or outdoors in backyards, parks, sports fields and elsewhere.
The UMX Eratix comes 100% factory assembled and ready to fly right out of the box! Simply top up the battery and pair the model with your 5+ channel DSMX/DSM2 transmitter. (Battery and transmitter sold separately.) You can fly within minutes of opening the box.
The construction consists of laser-cut, coated, carbon-reinforced foam parts. This makes the kite light, durable, and stiff for aerobatic flying. It can also be easily repaired using foam-friendly adhesives. Or if you damage any parts or components of the airframe and cannot repair them, a full range of spare parts is available.
The Spektrum receiver is equipped with AS3X technology, which helps stabilize the model in flight. The receiver contains a three-axis MEMS gyro and accelerometer, and thanks to electronic stabilization, controlling the model is simplified, for example in windy weather. The model reacts similarly to a much larger model and its flight is calm, without maintaining its full controllability. AS3X brings more confidence in control.
Thanks to the SAFE Select technology, even a less experienced pilot can control the model. The SAFE system prevents over-banking in turns and also limits climb and descent. Simply releasing the controller's control sticks will return the model to horizontal flight. These functions will be appreciated especially by novice pilots who are not yet fully confident in controlling models.
As the name SAFE Select suggests, it is an optional function - it is up to you whether you want to use or disable SAFE technology. The pairing method sets whether the SAFE function should be turned on or off. It is also possible to turn the SAFE function off or on during flight using a free transmitter channel.
To get started, you need a Spektrum 5+ channel DSM2/DSMX transmitter, a 2S 280-350 mAh LiPo battery with a JSP-PH 3-Pin connector and a compatible charger.

For normal operation of flying RC models, you need suitable adhesives, a tool kit and a storage bag for LiPo batteries. From our range we recommend a quality set of 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm Allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). For assembly, the Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) will certainly come in handy, and for cutting, the Modelcraft cutting knife with A6 washer will be useful.
For quick repairs of aircraft models, we recommend a fast-curing 4-minute Epoxy glue. From our offer, we recommend Speed Epoxy 4 min. 71g
Protective packaging is designed to reduce the risk associated with transporting and charging batteries. LiPo batteries can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity while maintaining small dimensions and low weight. LiPo batteries are particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore need to be thoroughly protected.
