The SKY RC T1000 Maestro 1000W two-channel charger was designed with the aim of providing everything needed to charge two batteries with large currents simultaneously "under one roof", including a mains supply and with simple operation. The T1000 allows you to charge and discharge common types of cells (NiCd, NiMH, Li-poly, Li-ion, Li-Fe, Li-HV, Pb), in addition, both channels are equipped with built-in six-channel balancers, which ensure very safe and comfortable charging of lithium batteries. It can also work in parallel charging mode, when both channels charge one battery with a current of 20 -35 A. When connecting an external BD350 discharger, it then enables discharge with a current of up to 40 A at a maximum power of 350 W.
The smart software offers the usual functions and is designed for practical users who buy the charger to charge batteries, not to watch pretty pictures on the display of a smart phone:
- program for new types of "high voltage" lithium batteries LiHV with terminal voltage for charging up to 4.35 V
- setting the end voltage for charging and discharging for lithium batteries (allows gentler charging, which is liked by aviators, or, on the contrary, brutal overcharging, which is adored by "car enthusiasts")
- intelligent distribution of power between both charging channels according to actual need
- programs for charging maintenance-free lead AGM batteries and charging lead batteries at low temperatures
- measurement of total voltage and voltage of individual cells (for lithium batteries) even outside of charging/discharging
- measuring the internal resistance of the entire set and individual cells (for lithium batteries)
Of course, there is a socket for a temperature sensor in both channels.
Overview of basic functions and parameters
- Input supply voltage 10 – 30 V DC (to fully utilize the power of the charger, the power supply should provide a voltage of at least 24 V)
- Mains supply 100-240 V/50-60 Hz
- For charging and discharging 1 – 15 NiCd/NiMH cells, 1 – 6 Li-ion/Li-poly/Li-Fe/LiHV cells or 6/12/24 V lead-acid batteries with liquid electrolyte and maintenance-free AGM
- Adjustable charging current 0.1 A - 20.0 A; when charging in parallel mode 20.0-35.0 A
- Adjustable discharge current (0.1 A - 2.0 A); when connecting an external discharger BD350 0.1-40.0 A
- Max. total power for charging 450 W when powered from the mains or a total of max. 1000 W when powered from a DC source
- Max. power for discharge 10 W, max. 350 W with connected external discharger BD350
- Termination of charging using automatic delta-peak for NiCd and NiMH accumulators
- Lithium and Pb batteries are charged using the "constant current/constant voltage" method
- Adjustable delta-peak detection sensitivity for NiCd and NiMH batteries
- Adjustable terminal voltage for charging and discharging for lithium and lead-acid batteries
- Repeated cyclic charge/discharge or discharge/charge operation for NiCd and NiMH batteries, up to 5 cycles
- Three charging modes for lithium batteries - normal charging, balancing charging and storage charging/discharging
- Three charging modes for lead-acid batteries - for normal lead-acid "car batteries", for lead-acid AGM batteries (batteries with electrodes separated by a glass fiber separator impregnated with electrolyte) and for charging lead-acid batteries at low temperatures (-20°C to +5°C).
- Termination of charging when the set time, supplied charge or limit temperature is exceeded.
- Measurement of the total voltage of the set and individual cells (for lithium batteries)
- Measurement of the total internal resistance of the set and individual cells (for lithium batteries)
- Sockets for temperature sensor
- USB-C port for updating the firmware and controlling the charger and monitoring the charging progress on a PC in the Charge Master program
- Backlit LCD display with a simple and clear menu and display of parameters during charging/discharging
- A number of warning text messages contribute to safe operation – wrong input voltage, wrong connection, unsuitable battery or its condition, wrong output polarity, etc.
- Protection against reverse polarity and short circuit at the output.
- Fan for forced cooling.
- Compact plastic box, small dimensions
- Built-in power supply.
The charger is equipped with XT60 output sockets in both channels and universal sockets for JST-XH service connectors allowing direct connection of battery power cables and JST-XH service connectors of 2-6S sets - if you use sets with XT60 and JST-XH connectors, you can do without charging cables and adapters. You can use standard Sky RC or RC System adapters to connect the service connectors of other systems.
You can purchase a temperature sensor to measure the temperature of charged/discharged batteries.
Note: When charging lead-acid batteries, the charger uses a final voltage of 2.40 V/cell (or 2.46 V/cell in the program for AGM batteries and in the program for cold charging) - for this reason, it is suitable for charging classic lead-acid batteries (car batteries) and gel accumulators with a reversible valve. It is not suitable for charging gas-tight gel batteries, which must not be charged at more than 2.30 V/cell.
The charger set includes: T1000 charger, mains cable, manual.
