UBEC is a switched DC power stabilizer; power from the 3-18S LiPo accumulator, input voltage drops to a level suitable for powering RC receivers and on-board electronics, and output voltage stabilizes at the set value (5.2-8.4V). The UBEC load is 25 A continuous, 50 A peak. This makes it suitable for large helicopters or giant aircraft models with more powerful servos.

    • It uses an advanced DC down-converter with an efficiency of over 90%.
    • 4 selectable output voltages (5.2 V / 6.0 V / 7.4 V / 8.4 V) suitable for all types of receivers, gyros, servos, etc. Voltage is selected using a triple DIP switch to UBEC.
    • Up to 8 parallel outputs for greater current carrying capacity or multi-device power.
    • It is equipped with BEC penetration protection, which prevents the penetration of the power supply voltage and the resulting damage to the receiver, servos and other electronics.
    • It is equipped with other protection circuits, such as overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection at the output and thermal protection, which makes its operation safer and more reliable.
    • The option of connecting a second backup battery allows direct powering of the connected electronic devices from the backup battery to maintain normal operation if the stabilizer main power supply is damaged or the UBEC stabilizer fails.
    • External switch for easy switching on and off UBEC.
    • Aluminum cabinet for more efficient cooling and shielding of electromagnetic radiation.
    • Indicator LED indicating the UBEC operating status and the status of the backup battery.

    Power UBEC

The 3-18S LiPo Main Power Battery is used to power UBEC in normal operation. If the main battery voltage drops below 9V, the UBEC switches to the backup battery" / p>

The 1-2S LiPo Backup Battery is used to power the connected devices directly in the event of a discharge or failure of the main battery or UBEC. WARNING: The backup battery voltage must not exceed the rated operating voltage of the equipment connected to the UBEC output (s).

    UBEC outputs

UBEC output is output to 8 three-pin sockets divided into groups of 4 "INPUT" and "OUTPUT". The sockets have the same wiring as normal servo connectors:

    • If you only connect the (+) and (-) contacts, you get up to 8 parallel UBEC outputs to power each device in the on-board electronics.
    • In the helicopter, you can bring cables to the "INPUT" sockets with the servo track signal (CH1, CH2, CH3), and the TAIL from the flybarless control unit or receiver. Fit the rotor and servo rotor support into the corresponding drawers of the "OUTPUT" group. UBEC is used for power supply and also as a "switchboard" for interconnecting on-board electronics.

    Using UBEC

    • Model with electric drive with OPTO controller: Connect the UBEC directly to the outputs of the drive accumulator and plug the UBEC output connector into the battery socket (or other available servo socket) on the receiver.
    • Electric drive model with controller with built-in power stabilizer (BEC): Before connecting UBEC, you must disconnect the red wire (+) in the regulator servo unit to disable the built-in BEC. Otherwise, the UBEC connection is the same as the OPTO controller.
    • Model with a combustion engine or glider: Connect the UBEC directly to the outputs of the battery, and plug the UBEC output connector into the battery socket (or other free power socket) on the receiver.
    • Helicopter: Connect the cables with the servo signal of the cyclic plate (CH1, CH2, CH3) and the TAIL from the flybarless control unit or receiver to the "INPUT" sockets." Fit the rotor and servo rotor support into the corresponding drawers of the "OUTPUT" group.

Tip: Place a UBEC in the model at a distance of at least 5 cm from the receiver to reduce possible interference.
