Clipless bodywork

The unique system of fastening the body with the help of beaks in the wheel arches, allows quick battery replacement and the clean appearance of the model is not disturbed by the clips.

Chassis

The rigidity of the chassis is ensured by the proven spatial construction, which is light and strong at the same time. The chassis is made of high-quality nylon filled with carbon fibers. The low center of gravity gives the car excellent driving characteristics.

Modular design

The completely new modular chassis can be easily disassembled into parts with just a screwdriver. Within a minute you have access to all important components, model settings and service maintenance. Solid, reinforced bumpers protect the model from impacts, while they are designed to maintain high approach angles.

Metal differentials

The new Slash is equipped with quality differentials with metal gears. Sealing allows differentials to be tuned for specific operating conditions by changing the viscosity of the oil in them.

Long shrug

The long stroke of the shoulders dampens even sharp impacts and improves the controllability of the model. In every situation, it will have a precise and quick steering response. Adjustable oil shock absorbers and X-rings are used on the chassis for endless fun.

Friction clutch

The friction clutch uses a special semi-metallic friction material and aluminum alloy pressure plates to dissipate heat and ensure consistent traction control. The clutch slip intensity can be adjusted without disassembling the model.

Oil dampers

The long stroke Ultra Shock oil shocks are designed to absorb every impact. Double sealing X-rings ensure smooth operation without oil leakage. The properties of the shock absorbers can be changed by preloading the springs, or by replacing the springs with other ones, and the behavior of the shock absorbers can also be adjusted by changing the viscosity of the oil used.

Precise steering

The mechanics of turning the front wheels is realized by means of the Dula-Bell-Crank system, which ensures the precise movement of the rods to the wheels. The steering has an integrated servo-saver that absorbs shocks and protects the servo against overload.

Servo steering

Digital Traxxas servo 2075 high-torque waterproof with DC motor and nylon gears has a torque of 9.0 kg.cm and a speed of 0.17 s/60°@ 6.0 V. For water resistance*, the servo box and the output 1000 edges are fitted with seals. Two ball bearings provide very smooth operation.

Powerful AC motor

The Velineon 550 AC motor is precisely tuned for use in 1:10 RC cars. It provides car models with the perfect balance between performance and optimal efficiency. Another advantage is the long service life, which is determined only by ball bearings. The bearings can be purchased as part of the service kit under order number TRA3352R.

The motor is of the 550 series, has a 4-pole design, which provides up to twice the torque compared to the two-pole version. The rotor is dynamically balanced and wrapped with Kevlar fabric to increase strength.

Electronic controller VXL-3S

Waterproof* electronic Traxxas alternating current controller Velineon VXL-3S V2 with three driving modes, support for modern high-capacity LiPo batteries and easy control with the EZ-Set™ button. The VXL-3S controller is equipped with a training mode that limits full throttle to 50%. Thanks to this, novice drivers or children can gradually familiarize themselves with the features of the model and prepare for the full power of the car. Thermal protection, gold-plated connectors, simple operation and intuitive signaling with a two-color LED diode.

VXL-3S controller modes

• Sport : Default mode, forward, braking and reverse are possible.
  
• Race : Mode suitable for racing. Forward and brake is possible; reverse is not available.
  
• Training : Mode suitable for children or novice riders. It is possible to drive forward with a power limitation of 50%, brake and drive backwards again with a power limitation of 50%.
  

The cooler of the regulator can be supplemented with an optional fan (not included in the package).

Traxxas TQi receiver

RC receiver Traxxas TQi 5 channel. TSM with telemetry for Traxxas TQi transmitters. Simple operation, pairing with a button. LED status indication. 3-axis MEMS sensors are integrated in the receiver for learning the position of the receiver.

The 5-channel receiver is also equipped with two connectors for connecting telemetry sensors RPM (revolutions) and V/T (voltage / temperature).

Furthermore, a telemetry expansion module can be connected to the 4-pin connector, into which you can connect up to 6 more sensors, including a very accurate GPS speed sensor.

Traxxas TQi RC kit with Bluetooth ready

Traxxas has prepared for you a completely new series of two-channel RC kits with Bluetooth connectivity. The Bluetooth module (sold separately) will allow you to connect the RC model with the clear graphic application Traxxas Link, which you can install on your smartphone for free.

The Traxxas Link app for Apple devices is available for free on the AppStore , the app for Google Android devices is free on GooglePlay .

The Traxxas Link App is a powerful application that gives you complete control over the operation and tuning of your Traxxas RC model with stunning visualization and absolute accuracy of settings. Traxxas Link can display telemetry data that the model provides in real time, such as speed, RPM, temperature, battery voltage and model roll. (Telemetry provided varies by specific model type). You can share settings of RC models, you can create any number of profiles for a specific track or users, e.g. children. All in the app with the brilliant graphics that come naturally from Traxxas.

Telemetry options vary by model. It may be necessary to install telemetry sensors to obtain telemetry data. Compatible telemetry parts with this model can be found in the "Accessories - Telemetry" section. More information on telemetry installation here.

Traxxas Stability Management

The Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) stability system allows you to experience not only power, speed, acceleration and cornering at extreme speed, but also guarantees much easier steering and control on slippery surfaces such as dust, smooth concrete or even ice and snow.

The receiver has a MEMS 3-axis gyro and an accelerometer, which evaluates the movement of the model on the order of 100 times per second and corrects the model's direction of travel by appropriate interventions in the steering of the front wheels. Traxxas TSM does not limit engine power - you have 100% control over engine power. Algorithms are tuned for each model separately. The level of assistance is set using the multi-function controller on the transmitter or possibly in the Traxxas Link application.

Recommended NiMH batteries:

Wireless connection with the phone

By adding a Bluetooth module to the transmitter, you get the function of wireless connection of the RC model with the Traxxas Link application, which you can install on your phone for free. We recommend a phone holder for attaching the phone to the transmitter.

LED lighting

Equip the model with a complete set of LED lighting for a breathtaking ride day and night. Thanks to this lighting, your model will become a real gem. Accessories for normal operation

For normal operation of the Traxxas RC car, you need bolt glue, good quality tire glue, silicone shock oil and a set of screwdrivers. We recommend an affordable set of tools for cars from our range.

The thread or head of the screw is dripped with screw glue, which fixes it and the vibrations caused by driving will not allow the screw connection to loosen. The screw adhesive has a special composition that allows the screw connection to be easily loosened with an adequate torque without damaging the screw head. Never use ordinary instant glue, it might be impossible to loosen a screw stuck like this!

Tire glue is used to glue the tires to the disc rim. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly stuck to the wheel rim all the way around! If the tire is not glued all the way around, it may tear. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, after hardening, the glue is flexible. Never use ordinary instant glue - it is not flexible after hardening and cracks would gradually form in the tire around the rims!

Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the dampers of the model. During normal operation, there are only slight leaks of silicone oil on the piston rods of the shock absorber. In the event that the surface of the damper pistons or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage may be large. For these cases, so-called repair kits are supplied. In the range of tuning parts, piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating are delivered to all shock absorbers. Piston rods with a TiN surface are easily recognized by their golden-green color.
