Futaba SBUS decoder SBD-1 20cm

S-BUS cable decoder enabling the connection of up to three classic servos to the S-BUS serial bus, suitable for analog and digital servos with a standard power supply of 4.8-6.0 V (4-5 cells NiMH). Cannot be used for S-BUS2.

Any channel numbers can be assigned to the individual outputs of the SBD-1, so that the connected classic servos will respond to the control signal of the given channel. Channel numbers can be assigned to the decoder outputs using:

• SBC-1 of the S.BUS channel programmer
• USB programmer CIU-3 or CIU-2 with utility program for PC
• Futaba transmitter enabling setting of S: BUS serv

When programming the decoder, the individual outputs of the decoder are selected one by one using the setting button and the desired channels are assigned to the programming device. Decoder operation is indicated by an LED.

Using the decoder: The SBD-1 input is connected to the S.BUS port of the receiver (or to a hub connected to the S.BUS port) and the classic servos (analogue and digital) are connected to the outputs. It is also possible to connect an S.BUS servo; in this case, the S.BUS servo will work as a classic on the channel that is set for the given SBD-1 output, not on the channel stored in the servo memory.
