Super giant RC Cubic Carbon Cub Crafters FX-3 RC model from Hangar9. The model for demanding modelers is designed for installation of internal combustion engine with the volume of 120-200 ccm. It is one of the largest motor models on the market and is ready to provide you with an authentic flight experience.
CubCrafters Carbon Cub EX (EX - Experimental) is an American amateur aircraft that was designed and manufactured by Cub Crafters Yakima in Washington. The aircraft with a span of 10.4 m is supplied as a kit for amateur construction. Therefore, a number of versions with different types of engines were created, most often used engines (75 kW) Continental O-200, (134 kW) Lycoming O-360 and (134 kW) ECi CC340. Assembly time varies from 700 to 1100 hours (according to the builder's experience).
High-quality all-wood model with many mock-up details and functional suspension of the chassis. The model has excellent flight characteristics as well as the model, scale modeling makes it a very attractive machine for flying events, towing gliders and so on. In the kit you will find ready-made coated parts of the model with ready-to-use Hangar 9 UltraCote® foil coloring, the lightweight and strong kite is made of high-quality balsa and plywood. Two-piece wing with folding wing struts for easy transportation, suspension chassis with large 215mm balloon wheels with aluminum hubs and aluminum steer spur, take-off run.
Functional wing flaps allow a short take-off and landing, using towing equipment and a sufficiently powerful engine, Cub can be used to tow large gliders. The equipment includes a cockpit with dashboard and seats, complete mounting accessories including engine mounting accessories. The bonus is the transport bags for the wings and elevator that protect these delicate parts during transport. Also included are functional high-luminance LED landing and navigation lights to power 3S LiPol batteries. Access to the fuselage is facilitated by fuselage side doors, you can seat your pilot (not included) in the cabin.
With a span of 4220mm, the Carbon Cub Crafters FX-3 is the largest engine ever made by Hangar 9. Wing depth is 686 mm, fuselage length 2920 mm. Wing and elevator are two-piece removable, height of the standing model is 813 mm. When transporting the model, it is therefore necessary to count on it and have a corresponding car.
The model is delivered in a considerable degree of pre-processing, the package includes finished parts of the fuselage, wings and tail surfaces. Finishing and assembly of the model is described in detail step by step in the product image manual. Construction and construction are designed according to high standards of material and quality.
The FX-3 engine compartment is spacious and can accommodate virtually any 2T or 4T internal combustion engine. The engine bed is from the propeller carrier at a distance of 213 mm, laminate engine cover is two-piece, divided in a horizontal plane and possible service engine is therefore easier. The manufacturer recommends using an internal combustion engine with a displacement of 100 - 200 cc.
The Hangar 9 Carbon Cub FX-3 features a range of mock-up details to give the aircraft the right look. It's a cabin with equipment, a functional chassis with a replica spurs,
