    Schneider Grunau Baby was a single-seat glider that had been manufactured in Germany since 1931. It was an exceptionally successful design, with about 6,000 machines manufactured and delivered to about 20 countries. The glider was designed by Edmund Schneider with the help of Wolf Hirth and Hugo Kromer at Schneider. It was named after Grunau, the town where the Schneider factory was located, now Jeżów Sudecki in Poland. The aim was to create an aircraft suitable for both training and sport flying. Glider glider manufactured in different countries even after the war.
