Characteristics
RC model of the Klima Lilienthal 40 Rocket Kit rocket glider, which is powered by a rocket engine and glides after reaching altitude. All the parts in the kit are precisely laser cut. Three different rocket motors can be used: C2-P, D3-P or D9-P. The model is started with a throw from the hand. After a few seconds, the rocket engine will burn and then you are already flying the model like a glider. The elevator and rudder are controlled.
The Lilienthal 40 RC is an easy-to-build RC glider model. The hull offers enough space for the installation of 2 micro servos, a receiver and a battery. The model is specially prepared for rocket flight, but can also be used for normal flying like a glider. The rocket engine start is very effective, after igniting the fuse, it takes about 5 seconds to throw the model, after which the engine is activated and the model shoots into the sky. The C2-P engine with less thrust is particularly suitable for gliding. The D3-P engine gives more thrust. Especially experienced pilots can also use the powerful D9-P engine, which enables almost vertical ascent.
The model is built quite quickly, all parts are precisely laser cut. The leading edge of the model's wing is already milled to shape, so no grinding is necessary. The wing is constructed from pre-formed balsa parts using support ribs. The ears are already built with the appropriate V-shape, which no longer needs to be painstakingly ground. A special box is prepared for the rocket motor, and of course the rocket motor holder is also included. The wing is designed for reasonably fast flight.
You can use the Lilienthal 40 glider for flying on a slope, towing on a line or as a launch using a rubber line. The simple construction is suitable for modeling rings and as a free-flying model.
