AT9S is a ten-channel computer transmitter for recreational and sports modelers, enabling comfortable control of all currently common types of models - motor acrobatic models, gliders, helicopters, multicopters, cars and other ground equipment and ships. It features a practical cabinet that fits perfectly into your hand with the classic, ergonomic layout of the controls over the years.
Controls: To control the main functions, use the precise cross controls with adjustable neutralizing spring force and the possibility to move the locked gas axis to the left or right. This allows you to freely select the operating modes of the cross controls 1-4. Control levers are adjustable in length, you can also buy long aluminum heads (with M3 thread). Digital trimmers have a step-by-step sound indication and a graphical display of the display positions. They are located slightly eccentrically and are easy to reach. Additional proportional functions can control two knobs on the back of the transmitter and two knobs located in the center above the main switch. 8 switches (of which three three-position and one torque two-position) can be used as channel switches, for switching flight modes or switching mixers on / off. The controls are freely assignable.
Transmitter Power: The AT9S allows a wide range of power sources to be used: 8 alkaline batteries inserted into the transmitter holder, 8 cell NiMH battery packs (AA size, pencil type), or two to four LiPo, LiFe, Li-ion kits. The battery voltage is displayed on the display in both numerical and graphical form, the low voltage threshold is adjustable. We recommend our 9.6 V NIMH low self-discharge cell kit (Eneloop, RayLong) made to measure by the transmitter and equipped with a tap for charging.
Transmission System: The AT9S uses a unique Radiolink technology using simultaneous DSSS and FHSS frequency hopping transmission for great reach, reliability and excellent interference immunity. The system allows the transmission of telemetry data from the receiver and their display on the transmitter display.
User Interface: The 3D programming wheel / button and two buttons together with a backlit color graphic LCD display are used for programming the transmitter. The display has adjustable contrast and a choice of "color on black" or "color on white" display modes to perfectly match ambient light conditions.
Software: The software is of the classic type with pre-programmed mixes and program templates for different types of models. AT9S has memory for 15 models.
The operation menu has three basic screens: The start screen serves to operate the transmitter in normal operation - displays the type and name of the selected model, the current flight mode, the type of receiver used, the position of the digital trim, the supply voltage of the transmitter, the timekeeping data and, when using a telemetry receiver, also the supply voltage the receiver. The telemetry screen clearly displays data from all connected telemetry sensors and modules, and the Servo Monitor screen provides a graphical representation of servo movements across all channels.
The program menu is always divided into two parts for clarity - the basic menu BASIC contains the basic system settings of the transmitter, the basic model setting (model type, assignment of drivers and switches, size and senses of deflections, subtrim trims, double deflections and exponentials, etc.). The advanced ADVANCE menu includes freely programmable mixers, special model-specific mixes (gas and team curves, butterfly mix, butterfly tail mix, etc.).

The micro USB socket (located under the cover on the bottom of the transmitter) is used to update the firmware using a PC. Transmitter firmware can be upgraded to 12-channel operation for R12DS and R12DSM Mini receivers.
The teacher-pupil socket is used to control the models with the dual-control system by two Radiolink transmitters connected by a teacher-pupil cable; AT9S can serve as both teacher and pupil transmitters. As a teaching transmitter, it allows a pupil to pass all or only selected channels; the pupil can also be given partial control. In addition to the classic cable (1RL0058), it is also possible to use a wireless connection using a receiver with PPM output connected via a special adapter (1RL0056) to the teacher-pupil socket of the teaching transmitter; the receiver is paired with the pupil transmitter.
Strap: You can hang the AT9S around the neck on the center hinge with the strap supplied with the RC kit.
Telemetry: When using a telemetry receiver (R9DS), the transmitter display shows the receiver's supply voltage and signal strength (with an adjustable alarm threshold). When the PRM-01 telemetry module is connected, the voltage of the battery (1-6S LiPo) is also measured and displayed.
