Portable decoding amplifier
Whether they are lossy formats like MP3 and WMA or lossless like APE and FLAC, all of these audio file formats record audio information as digital signals. The job of the DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) chip is to decode these digital signals into analog current signals to drive audio output devices. The difference in results between different chips is often only about 0.1%, a difference that most people can't tell when it comes to listening experience.

The high-performance DAC decoding chip built into the KZ AM01 uses the latest manufacturing process with a standby power consumption of only 10 mW/h. (Most decoding chips on the market have an outdated manufacturing process and consume a high 40-50mW/h even without load.) This chip provides the KZ AM01 with an impressive signal-to-noise ratio of up to 124dB and a dynamic range of 111dB, ensuring accurate one-to-one conversion of digital signals to pure lossless sound quality.

The KZ AM01 is equipped with a MAX97220 independent amplifier chip, which dynamically adapts to a load of up to 600 ? (enough to control most headphones on the market). This ensures a cleaner and more powerful sound output while minimizing distortion.

The sampling frequency of the PCM KZ AM01 is up to 32 bits/384 kHz. Much admired CD sound quality, appreciated by many audiophiles, has a maximum sample rate of only 24-bit/44.1kHz. So if the playback device and source meet certain conditions when paired with the KZ AM01, you can easily enjoy a listening experience far beyond CD sound quality.

The total maximum power consumption of the KZ AM01 is up to 575 mW/h, resulting in very low heat generation and minimal impact on the battery life of your playback device.

The KZ AM01 is plug-and-play compatible with a variety of Type-C devices, eliminating the need for complex configurations.
