The controller is controlled by a modern 32-bit ARM Cortex M4 microcontroller. The controller reads information about the type, temperature and voltage of the battery cells directly from the Smart battery via the data cable. So you no longer need any sensors or modules, everything simply goes together. The information will be displayed on the transmitter display (it is necessary to have a 2nd generation Spectrum transmitter with current firmware (Spectrum DX5C, DX5R, DX5 Pro, DX6R).

Data transmission via one wire

Data transfer from the Smart battery to the controller is via one data wire, which is part of the IC3 connector. Data is transmitted to the receiver via the SRXL2 protocol.
