The third channel of the unit is used to control the servo for the steered rear axle of the model. The third channel is mixed with the steering and enables switching of the following functions: classic steering (rear wheels not steered in a straight direction), simultaneous steering of the rear wheels (crab driving sideways), or contra-rotating steering (rear axle mirroring).
