4 wheel steering (4WS)

The unique 4-wheel steering system gives drivers new opportunities to conquer the terrain. There are three transmitter-activated modes – classic steering, rear axle mirroring and “crab ride” that provide flexibility when maneuvering around obstacles.

Chassis side plates

The durable chassis is designed to provide high ground clearance and maximum axle travel. The side sloping plates of the chassis allow you to maneuver around stones, roots, and other obstacles.

LED lighting

The model has an installed bottom so-called Rock lighting, thanks to which you will be able to see and overcome obstacles. You can embark on a new adventure during the day or at night.

Coilover dampers

New for the AX24 platform are longer 51 mm dampers, installed at a greater angle. This allows better articulation and axle movement so that the wheels stay on the ground and the model has maximum traction.

4-point suspension

The suspension geometry uses a 4-link design that works with the chassis with AX24 side plates for better axle travel and reduced engine torque transfer to the chassis when throttle is applied.

Worm gears

A worm gear is used in the distribution box of the front and rear axles, ensuring the transmission of high torque and enabling the construction of a chassis with a higher ground clearance for better cross-country ability.

Steel axles

Steel front and rear axles provide the strength and durability needed for long journeys and demanding climbs.

Telescopic drive shafts

The drive shafts are telescopic to allow maximum suspension travel while maintaining power.

Easily foldable body

The flip-up body system provides quick and easy access for battery replacement as well as individual components.

Rockster wheels and Rock Lizards tires

In 2007, the 1:10 scale Axial AX10 platform revolutionized RC Crawlers. The 1:24 scale AX24 XC-1 pays tribute to this pioneering model with replica bodywork, 1" Rockster wheels and 2.44" Rock Lizards tires for an authentic look.

Ball bearings

Although the AX24 is a small model, the drivetrain runs smoothly thanks to the shafts being seated in encapsulated ball bearings, which are also more resistant to moisture.

Servo steering AS-1

The AS-1 servos are located just above the axle, along with a servo-saver that allows for precise steering while protecting the servo gears in the event of a lockup or impact.

DC motor

The Dynamite 88T DC motor is installed on an aluminum bed that minimizes bending.

SLT3 transmitter and control unit 2in1

The included Spektrum SLT3 transmitter is ergonomically designed for long, fatigue-free rides and features a foam steering wheel for precise control. The new Spektrum 2-in-1 10A control unit includes a port for the possible use of an external controller.

A charging cable with an IC3 battery reducer - JST-PH is required to connect the battery to the charger.

Car charger

Hobbyzone charger 12VDC 2xLiPol 300mA can be used to charge the battery. The charger is intended for connection and power supply from a 12V DC car plug. For power supply from the 230V mains, we recommend the Traxxas mains supply 13.8V 3.5A with a car socket.

Accessories for normal operation

For the normal operation of the Axial RC car, you need tire glue, screw glue and a set of tools. We recommend an affordable tool kit for RC cars from our range. The model also uses screws in inch units, so we recommend a 1/20" Allen screwdriver.

Tire glue is used to glue the tires to the disc rim. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly stuck to the wheel rim all the way around! If the tire is not glued all the way around, it may tear. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, after hardening, the glue is flexible. We recommend Robitronic Tire Glue from our offer.

For routine maintenance, screw glue is needed. Screws screwed into the metal material (e.g. screws in the motor, worm gear in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this glue.

Protective covers for accumulators

Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators can, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity for a long driving time. Conversely, the LiPo battery is especially susceptible to mechanical damage.
