In addition to the field-proven custom SCX24 chassis, the model is equipped with a new Spektrum control unit and RC kit. The improvements are complemented by oil-filled shock absorbers that smoothly absorb bumps and the model remains stable even on the ground. The operating time of the model is up to 40 min.
The Jeep Gladiator SCX24 can handle almost any terrain and looks great doing it. It is fully assembled, fully equipped and is the perfect choice for both beginners and experienced expedition RC crawlers. With the Axial SCX24 Jeep JT Gladiator RC car model, you can drive at home, in the garden and create your own track from smaller stones, terrain obstacles or branches. Simply charge the battery with the USB charger, put it in the car and you're good to go.
The realistic bodywork of the popular Jeep JT Gladiator , large all-terrain wheels with above-standard ground clearance and a rear expedition carrier with accessories evoke the appearance of the world-famous car. The basis is a powerful drive, it consists of a 180 engine, with a multi-row transmission that supplies the necessary power to the wheels. The torque is transmitted from the gearbox to splined shafts and direct solid axles via a worm gearbox. Therefore, there is no need for a brake and the torque knows no bounds.
The SCX24™ chassis takes on any challenge with permanent four-wheel drive, 3-point front and 4-point rear suspension that always adapts to the terrain. The realistic steel frame is rigid enough against torsion, the worm gears on the axles increase the ground clearance. A 22mm longer wheelbase increases stability, while robust front and rear axles, front pivots and steel half-axles let you climb obstacles with confidence.
Like the platform of the larger SCX10™ II 1:10 scale chassis, the SCX24™ chassis features robust C-profile steel frame members to ensure high chassis stiffness and strength, keeping the chassis sufficiently stiff even under high axle torsion.
The front and rear axles consist of a two-piece molded composite rigid axle box. For optimal handling, the SCX24™ suspension is equipped with a three-point front and four-point rear suspension.
The rear solid axle suspension geometry uses a 4-link design that is optimized to reduce axle roll and torque from the wheel drive.
Shock absorbers significantly affect the quality of the ride, so the model has oil shock absorbers that allow smooth driving on uneven terrain. The preload of the springs can be adjusted so that you can fine-tune the degree of suspension according to the nature of the terrain.
The front and rear differentials are equipped with a worm gear to ensure maximum power is transferred to the axles and at the same time ensure constant braking when the car stops. The small dimensions of the distribution box made it possible to create a greater ground clearance.
The high torque of the worm gear requires the use of steel drive shafts. Only they can transfer power to the wheels even on difficult climbs.
The front and rear drive shafts between the gearbox and the front and rear axles are splined, allowing for large axial displacement and maximum torque transmission.
The model is fully equipped with ball bearings, both in the gearbox and in the axles and drives. You can drive without worrying that your sliding bearing will wear out somewhere.
A key component in expedition RC car models is a sufficiently powerful servo steering with a robust mechanism. Directly above the front axle is the Axial AS-1 power steering with servo saver, which allows for precise steering, while providing protection for the gears and servo electronics in the event of a steering obstacle or front wheel impact.
The Tazer 180 88T engine on the SCX24 chassis is specially designed for 1:24 RC car models, where, together with the optimally adjusted gearbox, it provides the axles with the necessary torque for steep climbs.
The Spektrum SLT2 dual-channel transmitter offers a number of useful features such as throttle path adjustment and throttle control and limiting. It is ergonomically designed for long rides without fatigue and has a foam steering wheel for precise control. The RTR package is thus complete, including the transmitter's AA batteries.
The model is newly equipped with a Spektrum 2in1 control unit with an integrated SLT receiver and a 10A DC regulator. The unit has the option of connecting an external controller and using the unit only as a receiver.

To power the USB charger, we recommend using a powerful network universal USB adapter (source) (18W).
A charging cable with an IC3 battery reducer - JST-PH is required to connect the battery to the charger.
Hobbyzone charger 12VDC 2xLiPol 300mA can be used to charge the battery. The charger is intended for connection and power supply from a 12V DC car plug. For power supply from the 230V mains, we recommend the Traxxas mains supply 13.8V 3.5A with a car socket.
Attach a two-axle trailer to the model that includes LED lighting and ramps that are always ready and stored under the chassis. The towing device is part of the cart's packaging.
The model can be upgraded to AC drive using a sensor motor and controller. This Combo was specially developed for the SCX24 and AX24 platform. The alternating sensor drive offers high performance, long life and precise speed control corresponding to the throttle position. Upgrading to AC drive in this model does not require replacing the RC kit, as the installed control unit in the model can only be used as a receiver.

For the normal operation of the Axial RC car, you need tire glue, screw glue and a set of tools. We recommend an affordable tool kit for RC cars from our range. The model also uses screws in inch units, so we recommend a 1/20" Allen screwdriver.
Tire glue is used to glue the tires to the disc rim. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly stuck to the wheel rim all the way around! If the tire is not glued all the way around, it may tear. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, after hardening, the glue is flexible. We recommend Robitronic Tire Glue from our offer.
For routine maintenance, screw glue is needed. Screws screwed into the metal material (e.g. screws in the motor, worm gear in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this glue.
Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity for a long driving time. On the contrary, the LiPo battery is particularly susceptible to mechanical damage.
