The powerful Traxxas Slash 4WD 1:16 RC model car, for the garden and for light terrain, is designed on the platform of the proven E-Revo models and includes a special suspension system with shock absorbers safely stored in the model and re-leveraged via rockers. Thanks to the oversized DC motor, the model will simply amaze you with its performance. It is fully equipped like the large models including oil shock absorbers, friction clutch and differentials. The battery and USB-C charger are included in the package, so you can immediately go out for fun at a speed of up to 40 km/h.
The proven chassis construction is light and strong at the same time. The tires are glued to the discs, the high-quality rubber compound of the tires ensures excellent grip on all surfaces.
The model uses a unique suspension system where the shock absorbers are safely stored in the chassis of the model. The swing of the arm is transmitted to the shock absorber by means of a tie rod and a rocker arm.
This small RC model can also handle rugged terrain, thanks to GTR oil shock absorbers. The shock absorbers contain sealing rings that minimize oil penetration around the piston rod. The shock absorbers are fully adjustable, the spring preload can be conveniently changed with a nut on the shock absorber, the stiffness can be changed by changing the viscosity of the oils.
The single-speed gearbox on the model serves to increase the torque transmitted to the wheels. Part of the transmission is a friction clutch, which allows for nimble acceleration, but at the same time absorbs the impact of the engine, thus protecting the entire drivetrain of the model.
The model is equipped with a front and rear differential. This ensures that the power is distributed between the individual wheels like a real car. The tightness of the differential is determined by the viscosity of the oil in the differential. Therefore, the tightness can be changed if you change the oil in the differential to a thicker or a thinner one.
Digital mini servo Traxxas servo 2080A waterproof with DC motor and nylon gears has a torque of 3 kg.cm and a speed of 0.11 s/60°@ 6.0 V. For water resistance*, the servo box is fitted with a seal.
The car model is fitted with a modified Titan 550 12T DC motor. The motor has 30% more power than conventional 540 motors. The rotor at the back of the motor contains a propeller that blows air into the motor and effectively cools it.
Traxxas XL 2.5 LVD DC controller providing fully proportional throttle, reverse and brake control. In electronics, modern MOSFET transistors with high efficiency and low losses are used for perfect performance. The regulator is waterproof and suitable for all conditions. The model is controlled by a two-channel proportional steering wheel RC radio Traxxas TQ, working in the 2.4 GHz band - operation without interference. The transmitter is powered by only 4 AA cells.
There is a rotary knob on the transmitter that trims the steering (so that the model goes straight if the steering wheel is in the center position). The status of the batteries in the transmitter is indicated by an LED. Reverse can be set on the transmitter on the throttle and steering channels.
The package includes a NiMH battery and a modern fully automatic 20W USB-C charger. The charger allows you to charge 5 to 7 cell NiMH batteries with a charging current of up to 2 A.
The USB-C charger can be powered by any USB adapter and connected with a USB-C cable. However, for full charging performance, it is necessary to choose suitable components, see recommended accessories.

To operate the model, it is necessary to add 4x AA batteries for the transmitter. We recommend powering the USB-C charger with a powerful USB adapter.
Powering the USB-C charger from the mains requires a USB adapter and a USB-C cable for connection (adapter and cable are not included in the package). In order to use the maximum charging power, it is necessary to choose sufficiently dimensioned components. We recommend:
To extend the driving time, we recommend purchasing an additional battery. For regular riding and for children, we recommend buying one more identical NiMH battery, which is included in the package. For maximum driving time and higher performance, you can use modern LiPo batteries. If you use different types of accumulators, it is always necessary to set the type of the connected accumulator on the controller!
Traxxas universal chargers can charge Traxxas LiPo and NiMH batteries. (The charger included in the package is intended only for the NiMH type battery that is included in the package.) Traxxas chargers are a simple and safe way to charge batteries. Traxxas uses the unique iD system , so you're always sure to connect everything easily and safely. There is an integrated chip in the battery connector, which the Traxxas charger automatically recognizes and sets all battery charging parameters for you. More information here.

For normal operation of the Traxxas RC car, you need bolt glue, good quality tire glue, silicone shock oil and a set of screwdrivers. We recommend an affordable set of tools for cars from our range.
The thread or head of the screw is dripped with screw glue, which fixes it and the vibrations caused by driving will not allow the screw connection to loosen. The screw adhesive has a special composition that allows the screw connection to be easily loosened with an adequate torque without damaging the screw head. Never use ordinary instant glue, it might be impossible to loosen a screw stuck like this!
Tire glue is used to glue the tires to the disc rim. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly stuck to the wheel rim all the way around! If the tire is not glued all the way around, it may tear. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, after hardening, the glue is flexible. Never use ordinary instant glue - it is not flexible after hardening and cracks would gradually form in the tire around the rims!
Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the dampers of the model. During normal operation, there are only slight leaks of silicone oil on the piston rods of the shock absorber. In the event that the surface of the damper pistons or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage may be large. For these cases, so-called repair kits are supplied. In the range of tuning parts, piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating are delivered to all shock absorbers. Piston rods with a TiN surface are easily recognized by their golden-green color.
